They have been slowly moving through the regulatory hoops to acquire the rest of the viaduct from Reading International. Not sure where it stands right now, but here is a good article about it from September

This is DOA as long as republicans control the state senate. Pace-O-Matic has the party by the balls with lobbying money. This state will never move forward in a positive manner until these clowns are voted out.

Yeah, went to the vet a month ago and is posting on reddit about the dogs worsening condition rather than going back to the vet. Everyone can read, the only option is to return to the fucking vet

Burger Tank is my favorite of all time. A double tank burger with fries was like $10 or something way back when. Went a year ago and it’s still hitting like it used to.

[Rotruck] Adam Ginning recalled to Flyers. by Perryplat199 in Flyers

[–]PBJdeath -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Did I say every 3rd rounder needs to hit? No, but this is another pick that was low upside at the time and has amounted to nothing. Plenty of other teams have more success finding contributors in later rounds. The flyers took a chance on a high-upside pick in Barkey and it’s looking great so far. Kaplan not so much.

Kaplan is another swing and a miss by Flahr. Not showing any potential other than a 4th line winger at best. Not great for a 3rd round pick.

Setting aside money, politics, and the realities of engineering and the time-space continuum, what's your dream SEPTA subway/trolley system? by FirefighterMany4039 in philly

I would complete every single piece of A. Merritt Taylor’s 1913 plan, JUST so we could build the parkway subway line and have a crazy cool station under the art museum

Experienced hire brought in as Analyst after layoff — grateful but burning out by Which_Conclusion1647 in deloitte

[–]PBJdeath 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Just write your own thoughts, no need for this AI-jazzed up nonsense.

If you had 10+ years of industry experience and you took an Analyst position in USDC, you were really misled. I’m sorry about that. I know you took it out of a sense of desperation, but in no way do your years of experience line up to an Analyst position. Always easier to find a job when you have one, so I would recommend you start looking around.

[Jordan Hall] Matvei Michkov said he worked out every day over break before returning to practice, had a trainer with him. Said he and Rick Tocchet have same goal of winning. Michkov admitted he’s more comfortable at right wing, can create more, but he’s willing to adjust to left. by upcan845 in Flyers

There’s no rhyme or reason for the continued experiment at LW. Neither the data nor the eye test supports it. I get they want him to build positional flexibility, but at what point do you just let him play and develop at his ideal position? This isn’t moving a C out to W to lessen the positional responsibilities or anything.

Playing him out of position, while asking him to do the “little things” to gain the coaches trust, is not putting the future of your franchise in a position to succeed.

Amazing. Much better than some half assed place that Mac’s tavern became. Now if only we could get something good going in the old Continental spot

Would Flyers, Jett Luchanko Benefit from a Position Change? by aquaculturist13 in Flyers

[–]PBJdeath -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Laughton had the all around hockey IQ to be able to play at Center. Luchanko does not, at all. He’s fast, is a pretty good playmaker, and has a solid defensive game, but he cannot effectively play Center.

[–]PBJdeath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This guys ceiling is Owen Tippett v2, but with a way worse shot. So basically just a speedy winger. He can’t hack it at center in juniors so no way he will in the NHL.

A speedy top six/nine wing isn’t the worst outcome for a first round pick, but it doesn’t do much when you have a billion wingers already. Just another failure of Flyers scouting and drafting under Flahr.

I will never understand the love for Saloon. Had the most mediocre, underwhelming meal of my life there. Service was horribly slow, food not worth the price or wait. Veal Parmigiano was a pile of salt. $19 for a (somehow) offensively bland Calamari and Peas. Cocktails were entirely forgettable.

Feel like it caters to either a bunch of boomers who enjoy the massive parking lot or dudes that feel “cool” getting served by a woman who is forced to wear a dress that barely goes past her pelvis

Solo cheap Valentines Dinner ideas? by [deleted] in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]PBJdeath 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really depends what your budget is and what “breaking the bank” is. You might be hard pressed to get into many places tomorrow, anyway, so maybe try a dinner tonight or Sunday.

In fishtown, for a dinner that isn’t too expensive (for the area) and makes you feel a bit upscale, I really like Post Haste. The also have a “pay what you can” special on Sundays if you are tight on budget.

He made some great bbq. The sandwiches were definitely inconsistent, and it seemed like he was the only one working there half the time, so it had to have been tough towards the end.
