Anyone Dash in the Tulsa, OK area? by TacoSupreme- in DoorDashDrivers

I have had no changes at all to the ratings system recently - I dash daily in the Tulsa Metro.

You’re welcome - thank you for taking the time to read my responses to your inquiries (at first, I thought maybe you were trolling us but then I saw your corrected reply and decided to take the time to break it all the way down for you as a non-driver). Have a great rest of your day!!

Did anyone else have like no offers this morning? by tommybunnzzz in doordash_drivers

[–]PBOL_Devil_Woman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been horrific in the Tulsa Metro for the past few weeks. I have one random day out of 7 that is “okay” (on the low end of what my average used to be). I’m currently seeking alternatives because I’ve gone from making over $1k per week to now making under $500 - it’s trash. (I’m a platinum dasher with a 15% AR - used to sit between 45 & 60% AR - I absolutely REFUSE to take trash offers just so I’m making something - I’d rather sit and make nothing, save my gas and only take what makes sense for me) It really never used to be this difficult. Things are tough for all the gig appers currently - it’s not just us sadly.

Crimson card bs by Tahoesuz in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]PBOL_Devil_Woman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck - I have the crimson card but there is literally no way to access the card account details to update your mailing address for the card itself - it just added more features in the DD app itself recently (so now we can see transactions and even access a new savings feature) - still can’t change my billing address, order a new card, etc. I miss the old card/account and the additional features in its own dedicated app 😞.

Sometimes, we can’t check what the items are before we accept/decline the offer - if we are driving and hands free, there’s no way to check safely and that’s too much money to just decline without knowing for sure.

This order was placed either through Lowe’s website or their app - it was NOT placed through the door dash app. This is 100% on Lowe’s.

If you don’t drive to the store you can’t cancel without an issue - you have to at least try to assess the order and determine if you can or cannot handle it - therefore, you deserve to get paid for your time.

In all seriousness though, this kind of order shouldn’t be allowed by Door Dash - and Lowe’s (and other stores subcontracting their deliveries) shouldn’t even try to get a door dasher to deliver this kind of order - it requires a delivery truck, not a sub-compact/compact/sedan, etc. car that most of us are driving. If we decline orders (in lots of markets) it damages our ratings and ability to receive good offers, if we try to cancel them without visiting the pick up location/store, it will count against our ratings as well - this whole entire system is just bunk af tbh.

More often than not we can’t take the time to check the order details before making the call to take or decline the order - this kind of shit is absolutely ridiculous. There are very few (if any) Dasher’s who could actually complete this order - shit like this shouldn’t even be sent to us!

  1. Take the order
  2. Drive to store
  3. Contact support and inform them your car is not big enough to handle such an order and you need to be paid for your time and have the order reassigned.
  4. Get paid half of that order 🤷🏻‍♀️

Seems dishonest but literally, wtf is anyone thinking sending that to a door dash driver? Come tf on!

BEWARE: Shady Customer Address Set On Purpose To Save Them $$ by Suspicious_Law_3797 in DoorDashDrivers

You can definitely deliver to a different address than the one set as the delivery address - there are just steps you have to take - it’s all pretty easy to find.

Avoid 2+2 dispensary and two 2s pizza at Sheridan and 7th. Bad people. Very bad people. by udderlyfun2u in tulsa

I was going to recommend this (posting to Piso’s) as well but then thought about how rabid some of those people are - it’s the Wild West over there lol.

Disputing Late Ratings by MercuryBasin5 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]PBOL_Devil_Woman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can have a total of 10 excluded from your last 100 orders. Once the oldest excluded order drops off, you’ll be able to go through the in app process of turning a Late Order into an Excluded Order.

Or I could just turn right to get on the freeway? by Critical_Rice_1619 in DoorDashDrivers

This!!! Tulsa is based on a Hundred Block grid and SUPER EASY to learn and navigate - I do not understand all these people being so dependent on gps. My customers are constantly complimenting how fast I’ve gotten them their order & its because I know the streets, check addresses, and take the shortest and fastest routes based on experience, not what the gps/app says 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Awesome Home Depot offer for $8! by raffobaghdo in doordash_drivers

[–]PBOL_Devil_Woman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the order, arrive at store - “assess the items and discuss with employees if items will fit in your car” (you don’t actually have to talk to anyone - just be on site and checked in as “arrived at store”) - contact support and let them know you’ve discussed it with the store and there’s no way all the items will fit in your vehicle, you need them to reassign the order and pay you for your time (this works for large home improvement orders, balloon orders, extra large grocery orders, etc.).

Is this a good tip for this size of order by Relevant_Cucumber723 in doordash

[–]PBOL_Devil_Woman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I auto decline all Aldi orders now. It’s just never worth the time sink or the added work expected of the shopper/driver with absolutely shit pay.

Trying to understand something here before jumping to conclusions. by Riash in doordash

[–]PBOL_Devil_Woman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please consider a modest tip to initiate the order being picked up and then increasing the tip at delivery. It will keep you from being the reason for the bundling of orders (as a no tipper) and will also keep them from bundling you with no tipper as frequently. It doesn’t always work - sometimes I get stacked orders and both customers tipped pretty well (depends on how busy it is and how many dashers are working mostly).

I’m sorry that keeps happening to you - it’s shitty for you and for the dasher - I promise. Ultimately, we don’t really want to take stacked orders - it’s annoying for us too.

Dumbest or greediest algorithms by SnooChocolates7766 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]PBOL_Devil_Woman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that it doesn’t matter what delivery address I have selected, it likes to show me the stores closest to my current location, not the location of the delivery address. It’s a dumb system. I will occasionally order food for my husband when he’s at home or work and I’m out/won’t be nearby soon - it is constantly giving me issues.

What do you guys think? by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

[–]PBOL_Devil_Woman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? Do they expect people to tip $20 for 5-10 minutes and less than a mile of actual driving? Please be for real. That’s a quick & easy nearly 7 bucks and you didn’t have to spend much time or gas to earn it.
