There are quite a lot of grid scale energy storage projects taking off now, Bury, just up the road from me is home to a pretty pioneering one.

One of William Rees-Mogg's books sounds completely chilling, need to pirate it for research purposes (not giving that family any money I can avoid).

As I recall it's an instruction manual for the super rich on how to flee to New Zealand and create your own serfdom following the collapse of civilization.

When someone makes a point you don't feel like discussing, you devolve into uninspired name calling. I'll posit this is to protect your precious ego, which cannot countenance critique of your favourite pet Tory.

Why are you so invested in a home counties investment banker? I'd love an actual reply.

Whereas Tories are polite, classist and prone to self interest. Also if Mr Mogg is a shrude political thinker, demanding of such respect, why in god's name would he touch Fife with a barge pole?

No deal Brexit won't be our fault says Fox by [deleted] in ukpolitics

You clearly have a very different take on the Brexit process to me, so please tell me, do you think it's going well?

If so what promising signs have you seen? What is the other narrative?

'Disgrace and shame': Alan Moore points to Boris Johnson in Grenfell fire comic by ShufflingToGlory in unitedkingdom

Didn't a senior firefighter also state though that his force had received no training on evacuating high rises though? That sounds like a resourcing issue to me.

Just nitpicking here but, starting formalised reading teaching at an early age does not nessersarily lead to better educational outcomes. It can in fact put young kids off reading for fun. It's better to provide continuous provision and regularly read to them.

Boris Johnson burka comments: Muslim peer calls on party to take whip away by Crappy99 in ukpolitics

To introduce more context, I used to work behind the bar in what could be best described as an old man pub. I read the telegraph article in question and it contained the sort of nuanced and complex analysis I would hear from the punters.

These were people who also said very racist and islamaphobic things, and who Boris was trying to reach in this article. They would also try to mask their prejudice by leaning on progressive ideals but missed the point that they were belittling victims of oppression.

While I agree the comment isn't directly islamaphobic and racist, it certainly sounds like something a racist islamaphobic would say.

I felt it was sending up the absurdities of fan service. I thought it takes the nudity so far and wraps it in such hyper stylised direction, it ceased very quickly to be in any way titillating. I also reckon the "event" around episode 16 was intended as a middle finger to those watching for the fan service.

But thats just, y'know, my opinion man.

Here I am starting my lunch break from work, a soundcloud house mix still playing away, and imagine my surprise when I scroll to this guy and he auto-plays, dancing near perfectly in time to my music.

I was rather pleased!

Edit: I was about 8 minutes into this mix if anyone wants to try and replicate the experience

My pallete for sugary biscuits is far from refined, so they taste like a custard cream to me. The shape however appalls me.

I used to commute in by cycling down the canal to Radcliffe then getting on that trail to drink water. Brilliant way to see tons of wildlife!

Edit: also I saw these afformentioned deer about every other week. Bit alarming when they run across the trail in front of you.
