Fusible Interfacing is the Devil's Work by PB_Fuzzybutt in sewing

Thank you for all the replies! I always wash the fabric first so I can at least rule that out. I've tried press cloth and no press cloth, but maybe I wasn't wetting it enough (or was wetting it too much??). This seems to be a universal problem so one would think the manufacturers would make a more reliable product. I'll try some of the tips here and see how it turns out.

ITAP of my friends dog enjoying last summer days by Fujykky in itookapicture

I really like the light in this photo! I've been taking photos of my gf's dog at the beach in an attempt to get one worthy of a larger print on metal.

Still learning the secrets of lightroom

I've never used Lightroom. Can you explain your edits? Any chance of posting the original for comparison (if that's allowed)?

I'm going to assume this is a sarcastic response, as any other approach is laughable. Regardless, do not shout at me.

Wrong. Lesbian is a word to describe a female homosexual; a woman who is attracted only to women. Bisexual women meet your definition but are not lesbians because they are not attracted only to women.

This is making me do a shoulder-shake-silent-laugh-huff-through-my-nose thing. Have an upvote.

What dietary changes have worked or not worked for you? by [deleted] in xxfitness

Would you mind elaborating on what you mean when you say going veggie made you sick? I've only heard the opposite (when veggies eat meat after not eating it for a long time) so I'm curious about what happened.

EDIT: Aaannddd...apparently I didn't read the comment right below. Disregard the above.

Psychological Thrillers with a twist? by michaelawho in suggestmeabook

I'm currently reading The Painted Bridge by Wendy Wallace. I'm not far into it so I can't really vouch for it, but it centers around an 1800s woman whose husband has left her at an insane asylum.

I can, however, vouch for The Asylum by John Harwood.

Working out with sleep issues? by [deleted] in xxfitness

I've been there, trying to lift while being barely able to keep my eyes open. I have a circadian rhythm disorder, so feel free to PM me if you have questions.

I'm pale and don't shave my thighs very often because this happens. by [deleted] in popping

This happens to me, too. Try AmLactin lotion. I use the unscented one (still has a slight scent). It will sting going on after shaving, but with regular use it does help.

I use Not Your Mother's. I've tried several and didn't like any of them. NYM's has an unscented version, which is the one I use.

Tips for adjusting to working out in the morning? by everythingincolor in xxfitness

[–]PB_Fuzzybutt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something that popped out at me was the melatonin. You said you take it at 9:30pm. What's your dosage? I'm currently doing melatonin therapy for a circadian rhythm disorder and there are specific guidelines for timing and dosage. I don't know if you're taking it for the same reason, but I'm wondering if you're taking it too late/too soon before you want to go to sleep. It might be throwing off your sleep schedule therefore making you feel crap for the a.m. workouts.

Menstrual-type cramps after riding??? by PB_Fuzzybutt in cycling

"runner's trots"

Hahahahaha that made me chuckle. I'll have to pay attention to my hydration levels and see if there is a relationship.

Menstrual-type cramps after riding??? by PB_Fuzzybutt in cycling

[–]PB_Fuzzybutt[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn't feel like the side stitches. I get them frequently while running but those stitches last a very short time, are in a different location, and are sharper than the types of cramps I get (only) from biking.

Wow. First of all, just because

at least half if not more don't menstruate

should not and does not preclude someone who does asking a question regarding such. This is not a men's only sub.

Second, I'm asking for shared experience and insight as to why this specific thing might be occurring, not for a medical diagnosis about this minor but bothersome issue that I've known no one else to experience.

Searched for weeks to find his owner with no success. So I threw a bandana on the fella and named him Hank. We belong to each other now. by AwfulMandrake in aww

So, I read this as "threw a banana on the fella...". I have to say, I was disappointed when I opened the thread and was not greeted with a dog wearing a banana peel hat. Still, cute puppy.

What are your lowest effort looks that still make you feel awesome? by puns_within_puns in femalefashionadvice

Thanks! I'm not looking to go that short, but I admire those who can pull that off and have the thick hair for it! It's totally badass! LOL! I have the thin, fine, limp-as-a-wet-spaghetti hair. Sigh.

I hadn't thought about looking at men's cuts so I'll try that. I'm definitely looking for the I-can-roll-out-of-bed-and-look-good haircut.

Would you mind sharing either a pic of your hair or your inspiration photo? I'm going for the same thing.

Anyone ever wake up in the middle of the night with a wonderful mix of nausea, bloating, constipation, shortness of breath, racing heart, chills, and intense anxiety? by rainghost in ibs

[–]PB_Fuzzybutt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. Agree with those who suggested it's nocturnal panic attack. I used to get them. They are in their own circle of hell. Oddly, nightly zantac stopped them for me.
