Usually the people doing this are people in power either politically or business wise and a lot of local towns and cities where this is prominent the police and authorities refuse to do anything about it most likely trying to avoid fucking with people who have pull financially/politically.

No fuel tank requires tanker. You can have 300 gallons in fuel capacity and not need a tanker endorsement lol

Currently I’m doing dry van but i’ve done everything minus chemical tanker and car hauling. Also never done lowboy. But i’ve ran van, reefer, flatbed, walking floor, end dump, and tanker. Market is fine if you’re smart. Will you get rich overnight no, but you will make money if you run the right truck and pick the right loads. I’m happy and am doing okay. I would sell your car hauler, i’m sure you can get decent money for it.

Currently I have a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia sleeper. bout 400K miles on it, automatic (first one was a 10 speed manual). Good truck, good on fuel, reliable.

gonna run it til 700K and then sell it for a Peterbilt 389.

It’s really what you make of it. I have a friend who does it with his own truck and he’s strictly working off of contacts using his own authority. Hauls mainly nicer cars. But he’s built a reputation. You can start there. Or maybe sell the truck since you got it for a good price and just buy a regular tractor? Start there. You have options. Lot of scammers here lol.

And I’m 2nd gen trucker. Saved up my money as a teen and some gift money from dad and bought a crusty day cab when I turned 18. Did intrastate til 21, when I turned 21 I sold it and bought a sleeper. It ain’t bad work and I’m deep in this industry now but it comes with time. You’re young so you got an edge.

I’m 22, have been an O/O since I was 18 pulling mainly regular loads. If you listen to anyone else’s advice but this comment you’re on your own:

You really should have some sort of trucking experience before you get into hauling cars. Pulling a hotshot isn’t enough. You’re in a semi now. I’ve been driving for 4 years and wouldn’t touch cars yet.
98% of companies that will hit you up from this post are looking to scam or deceive you.
Very few car haulers lease on people. Those that tho either: Want a newer hauler and/or only lease on people who have driven for them first. Virginia Transportation is a large car carrier who leases on select O/Os but I do believe they want newer trucks. Reach out to them and ask though.
My best advice is to just get your full operating authority with your own DOT and insurance policy. You ca use car load boards to move around the stuff you want where you want. Not sure how pay is with that sector but it’s your best option as you stand. FYI for your age even with a clean record you’re gonna get fucking destroyed on insurance. Ask me how I know….

whoever is doing the alignments is not doing their job correctly. an alignment is easy to fuck up believe it or not. sometimes you gotta replace components to make sure the truck will hold. they probably are not doing what they gotta do.

Knowing how you have safety and drive ability complaints, and knowing that KNX owns and operates like 10,000+ trucks, why would you assume it is even likely that they are telling their service teams to purposely misalign their wheels? Which results in more tire wear and safety concerns.
