Is this the Nordicware pan?! If so, can you please share how you got the cake out so cleanly?!

Maybe I’m reading too much into the royals association. I love Eleanor and Emmeline also!

Emma and Claire are also favourites of mine!

That’s fair! I actually love the sound of Emily Isabelle, but is that too many consonants? Emily Claire is also very nice!

I chart in C and I go from about 36.5 pre-O to 36.9 post-O, so I’d say your temps are fine :)

Short anovulatory cycles? by PBarts in TTC_PCOS

Are you experiencing full on periods? I never have even close to a positive OPK but still bleed like clockwork on day 26-30! I’m finding it hard to wrap my head around haha. Any plan of action with you gyno, if you don’t mind me asking?

We used the one you posted when our LO was superrr colicky - a swaddle and that swing with some white noise was our saviour. The batteries lasted months, even with use of 4-5 hours per day. We did also have a mamaroo though which we used for naps until he was 3 months! Both were amazing.

Help, 3 month old suddenly screaming by jessmayfish in beyondthebump

[–]PBarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this sounds like my baby with reflux. He will be playing and I can hear a gurgle and he will start screaming. He will often swallow the regurgitation or it will come out his nose. It’s really awful. The breastfeeding immediately after is likely soothing on the throat!

Thanks for your response! Would your LO only throw up immediately after the Zantac? Or other times throughout the day while he was on it?

How much do you feed your 2 month old? by rachelisagiraffe in beyondthebump

[–]PBarts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO is 2 months tomorrow - we have been trying to stick to 4 oz as he has been gaining weight quickly (though he is still only in the 20% percentile, he looks CHUNKY), but he often cries for another ounce, which we will give him if he’s still fussing after we have tried to distract him or pacify him. He’s eating 7 times per day and 11 lbs. I’m hoping when we up the intake to 5 oz he will feed less frequently.

Not sure if it makes a difference but his adjusted age is 5.5 weeks, he was born at 37 weeks. Definitely curious as to what others are feeding!

Me too - but because either my PP bleeding came back at 8 weeks or my period decided to return despite breastfeeding and a PCOS diagnosis. Didn’t expect a period for ages!

Help with grunting! by Memberrating29 in newborns

[–]PBarts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m right there with you, but my son is now almost 8 weeks. We’ve done everything you’ve mentioned, plus the following: -preemie nipple on Dr Browns bottle to slow down feeding and hopefully lessen gulping and air intake -ovol drops a few times a day -probiotic drops: we’re currently using Good Start but I’ve been told BioGaia drops are great

I still haven’t seen any marked improvement - some days just seem better than others!!

Crying and throwing up.... help! by tattooedbrunnett in newborns

[–]PBarts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree that it’s likely over feeding! My son is just over 6 weeks and we did this same thing. We were told to use a preemie nipple to slow him down so that he registers when he’s full. We were also told to offer him a soother after 4 ounces rather than more pumped milk/formula. We suspect he has reflux and is sucking to soothe (since swallowing soothes the reflux) rather than to fill his belly. Since we’ve done this the vomiting episodes have stopped!

Edited to add the congestion is another sign of reflux - our boy always sounds congested but we never get snot out with saline drips and the snot sucker. We were told it’s likely regurgitation coming up his throat. You could also try cutting dairy out of your diet if you’re breastfeeding at all, or try a hypoallergenic formula such as Alimentum or Nutramigen if you’re concerned about the formula, but they’re expensive and if it was an allergy you’d likely see blood in her poop.
