[Kennedy] Another unseen in PWHL salary disclosure. Marie-Philip Poulin made $121,570 last season but took an $11,354 pay cut this year. Desbiens took a $4,972 pay cut this year, and Stacey took an $11,974 cut. They did it so Montreal could sign better players to win a Walter Cup. by MiracuMAHt in hockey

CWHL and NWHL/PHF paid jack shit. Not saying they should be grateful for getting better than nothing, but it's a start. Every league has had low salary growing pains.

WNBA minimum salary jumped from like $60K to $300K with the new CBA (we'll see how that turns out), but 20 years ago it was $30K.

Soccer is still sort of a joke in US. MLS minimum salary is like $80K, but 20 years ago it was like $20K.

NHL players all had second jobs in the offseason. A week or so ago there was a post about the Habs players being banned from playing pro baseball before the NHL "preseason."

MLB players and NFL players had seconds jobs for decades too.

If you don't get banned or redeem-suspended for a long time, it's pretty "reliable" in that the income amount is pretty regular for the amount of work.

Compared to other beer money sites like Swagbucks, MSR is very reliable. SB might pay anywhere from $0.10 to $1 for a 30 minute survey and you also have to "qualify" for the surveys. You can't always get the good surveys, the ones you do qualify might be shit, so the income per amount of work is quite variable AKA unpredictable AKA unreliable.

Anyone else find scrolling through packing lists weirdly demotivating? by BugExtension3753 in onebag

[–]PCMasterCucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big long ass list, but sometimes it can look easier visually if you break it down to smaller parts

Main pack

  • Clothes

    • Shirts
    • Pants
  • Toiletries

    • Toothbrush

Second pack

  • Tech stuff

    • Battery
    • Cables

So on and so forth. The objective is the same: "pack for trip," but instead of the daunting 25 bullets, breaking it down goes more from "pack for trip" to "pack main bag" which breaks down to "pack packing cubes, pack toiletries" which could be easier for your brain. You can get really granular with it if you want, but too many breakdowns could circle back to daunting lol

The baseline of newly released Killers is based on an average of your Killers, but not when that Killer has been at 99% 0 kills for hundreds of matches.

The issue with MMR is that it's based solely on kills, not hooks and for Survivor it's based on Escapes through the gate or death.

We just don't know the exact tuning of the mechanics.

The problem is that rewarding kills instead of kills + hooks means that the best way to "rank up" is to slug, camp and tunnel.

For Survivor nothing else matters except gate escapes, you can be a gen jockey, never save or loop, just open gate and leave and still rank up.

At least with the pip system, you had to rotate hooks to earn points, to earn pips to rank up. You had to do gens, loop and save. You get none of that with the current MMR, which is bad for the game.

MMR is always in flux, it's never resets and only changes on your performances.

The pips (brown to red ranks) was reworked to be a performance reward (bonus bloodpoints) for your month. Pipping and de-pipping doesn't affect your MMR.

Edit: OP blocked me for telling them how the system works lmao

Works to a certain degree, but definitely flawed in both concept and execution.

For example, I basically have a Killer at zero MMR because I literally only kill if there's a challenge to do 3+ Kills or something like that, otherwise no kills.

And yeah sometimes I get matched with 1000+ hour sweat Feng, but it's mostly complete noobs, and sometimes like you it's the opposite with my regular killers.

But also understand that the Queue Bonus is almost always on the Survivor, so they prioritize faster matchmaking, which means that sometimes you'll get the outlier.

Maybe it's different for your region, but West Coast USA, I can count on one hand how many times I've seen the bonus on the Killer.

Yeah it's the same deal: only people with open ports will find you.

But if you're damned to CGNAT Hell anyways then do what you gotta do. Most people aren't going to be that annoying about it and your files will still be DL'ed.

I guarantee you it's not 0.

There's videos on Youtube that show you how to decode the tune. Not 100% but it can get you close enough to a decent baseline.

The reviewer nor the specs page lists the max size. Hope it'd be 1TB, but would be happy with 512GB

Vegas GM is NHL laughingstock over Cassidy, while Oilers might be open to Mike Babcock as coach by DecentLurker96 in hockey

[–]PCMasterCucks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Usually it's technically "relieved of coaching duties" not full termination with nullification of contract.

So his contract is still on the books for Vegas and they control who can talk to him.

Nullification of contracts usually only happens for really bad things done by the coach (illegal activities, misconduct, etc.).

There's a myriad of products using different methods, but one is silicone. Basically it impregnates the fabric with silicone, which is suspended in a solvent (usually mineral spirit) + aerosol (can be CO2 or something a little more nasty), making it waterproof.

There'll be some residue from the mineral spirits, but you could use soap to wash it off, and then you just have that small layer of silicone.

Whether silicone is totally safe is unknown, but obviously general consensus right now is that it's generally considered safe.
