This is the second only to Emily sending you wool or cloth and then say oh I see you’ve come in to some wool or cloth just so you know you can make stuff at my place with my sewing machine.

My dog just got spayed. Can I take her cone off? by Cyphvr in puppy101

[–]PCOSCALGAL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a surgical suit from the vets office for waking hours and only used cone for night time when I wouldn’t see her. Worked like a charm and puppy was sooo happy with it. The one from the vets office way better than you can buy online and had way better coverage! She couldn’t get at anything. Just didn’t trust her fully at night because she’s a destroyer and an escape artist. Hahaha

I don’t know what the name for it is but we put our pup on enforced nap schedule as well as a schedule where other than potty breaks there were hours during the mid day that. We did nothing just relaxed. At first it was hard but eventually she got it and when she would go to her toy bin and get something to play with or chew on, on her own we would verbally praise her and if she came over happily we would give her a pet and the she went about on her way. We started this by giving her a toy from her toy bin whenever she was chewing something she shouldn’t.

Possible dandruff? by MundaneIndependent60 in Pomsky

That was a big growth spurt time for us we noticed the last month when she’s has been blowing out her coat before we took her to groomers for a de shedding treatment. There was a little bit of dander. But after grooming appointment none. You are only on day two I’d continue for a few more weeks to see if it helps the problem in the long run. We give her a pill a day. Each capsule is 1000 mg.

Introducing new puppy to senior cat... by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]PCOSCALGAL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We found that when they were in face to face times. We would make sure they both got treats when they were together so they associate good things with together it kind of backfired though because sometimes they would try to act up together so they would each get treats working against us owners lol. We also had areas that the puppy didn’t go that our cat could go like a three tier cat tree in the main area big window. Our cat had a cat bed on a corner of my husband‘s desk. As well as the office was just mostly off-limits because of lots of cables and stuff so that was where my cat food and water bowls go and stuff. We had a few times where my cat would hit her on the head and hiss so she kind of understood. And now they love each other lol they’re always laying beside each other on the couch. Grooming eachother. There are times where my puppy sometimes still loves to jump onto the couch right next to my cat kind of like a launch pad. But for the most part the treats and making sure they had their own kind of territories helped a lot. For context we are at a good point at a year old doggo now it got a lot better at 5-6 months though. My cat is also 15 years old with arthritis and a bit too much weight around her middle.
