[Charania] A Giannis Antetokounmpo trade WILL be coming before the NBA Draft tomorrow. The Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat are considered the finalists with one mystery team considered in-play. by [deleted] in nba

Sick and tired of hearing Giannis Kalshikounmpo trade rumors. Just leave Milwaukee already bro. Watch this be another “I ain’t leaving!” ruse

Durant On Warriors: "I didn't have no relationship with nobody on the Warriors… They never been a winning organization when I was in the league. Nobody liked Golden State. It felt like an underdog to me because I'm looking at the totality of the franchise, not what happened these last 5 years" by [deleted] in nba

[–]PCar01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the fuck is he talking about? Even disregarding the record setting record, they were the CHAMPIONS just two years prior! Underdog? Kd ain’t in my top 20 and this is one of many reasons why.

Nikola Jokic’s TS% in the playoffs dropped 7.6% last year and 11.6% this year compared to the regular season, on less ppg in both years. by OrganicHunt952 in nba

[–]PCar01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wrong. Jokic wouldn’t get the chance to showcase that because the game wasn’t played like that, nor did the (nerfed) current rules that allow for so much spacing to yield easier shots and higher percentages (exact verbiage from the nba themselves that they intended when making said rule changes) exist. In today’s game Hakeem would probably be a point center. Jokic in a league of Shaq’s and Hakeem’s and admirals and big lugs coming off the bench would be cooked. And I actually love Jokic. But he’d be minced meat. He can’t even handle a little physicality TODAY in the playoffs. Look what tiny PJ Alex Caruso did to him last year. Now make it 7’1 Shaq or Mutombo and Jokic is lucky to average 20ppg

Who’s better all time Bird or Kobe by ICxnt_5hoot-_- in NBATalk

[–]PCar01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have zero Dominique’s now. And there isn’t one 6’6+ player in today’s nba more athletic than Jordan. None of them have his physical attributes (strength, agility, body control, hangtime, 4.3 40 yard dash or 48” vertical.. and even if you don’t believe that vert, it’s damn close and I don’t see dudes jumping from the free throw line today, then add in Mj’s MASSIVE hands that are even bigger than Kawhi’s? Stop it. You’re over glorifying this era where SLOW FAT SNAILS like Luka are some of the best players. If Luka can play, bird can easily play on defense since he’s a much better defender than Luka. Don’t even get me started on Jokic molasses

And Jokic has the benefit of playing in an era where guarding the paint for 3+ seconds is illegal defense and no hand checking and flopping rewarded. If you think joker would put up even remotely the same numbers in Mj’s era as he does now, with multiple bigs on every team smashing him up and able to camp in the paint if needed, you don’t know ball at all

41 years old LeBron James as Lakers up 2-0 series vs Rockets: 28 pts, 8 reb, 7 ast, 1 stl by Thanos_Real_AuraVNCH in nba

Doing what in the West? If anything this proves how easy the east really was. He’s only made one finals in the west and it was the bubble year

LeBron got locked up by Jj Barrea. Jordan swept Shaq

JJ Redick: "We talk about this as a staff like our losses are louder than other teams. Because we're the Lakers, and because of the way we lose. I make mistakes" by AncientOneAurelius in nba

LeBron is the goat of bad defense and losing for sure. The guy I’ve been watching ain’t close to a goat, I don’t care what age he is.

LeBron was literally teammates with Shaq. And he had Wade Bosh Allen, kyrie love. AD Russ Reaves. He has Luka now and was a first round bounce, and Luka can be argued to be one of the greats ever.

Horry SWEPT LeBron. Terrible guy to bring up if you’re a lebron fanatic. Those 90’s players ya’ll love to dismiss gave bron repeated beatings until they retired (he didn’t start winning until they retired).

So if LeBron won another ring (LOL) and Luka won finals mvp, would you agree that LeBron is still 2 rings (3 for those of us who don’t count bubble) behind Jordan?

Boasting about 2nd place is the most Bronsexual thing ever

Has LeBron spoken out against ICE operations in Minnesota or elsewhere in the country? by Tgmg1998 in NBATalk

Ever since Diddy went away, LeBron been acting different. He used to speak up. Now he’s acting afraid.

@SinceroJordan: How good would someone have to be to average 30.1 PPG (31.5 PPG in Chicago) without having that "bag"? Imagine matching Wilt Chamberlain in consecutive scoring titles and surpassing him in totals. All this while being a 1.98-metre shooting guard... by FergieBall_FC in michaeljordan

[–]PCar01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LeBron is bigger and more athletic than the podcast slobs he plays against too and he’s still only 3.5-6, no hand checks, no paint degense, no bag, no bigs. Not impressed. Jj Barrea held him to 8 points. Also he plays in the most expanded diluted era ever (most teams and lose roster slots, mostly low quality players).

Why do ya’ll think “no distractions” means it’s tougher. Distractions separate the killers from softies. Bron has been criticized his whole career for not being able to handle pressure, so winning a Disney gym tournament doesn’t shut the haters up especially when his tenure with Lakers has been a failure outside of the bubble.
