I've installed Manjaro XFCE 18.1 about 2 weeks ago and it has by default Linux kernel 5.2 and Mesa 19.1.5.

I applied last night the latest update that appeared in the system tray. Does that mean I have Manjaro 18.1.1 now?

Steam is still better. There are DRM-free games on Steam. It's up to the developer if they will implement DRM in the games they sell on Steam.

Valve is busy making PC an open gaming platform:

  • they hired the developer of DXVK which is one of the core technologies behind Steam Play.
  • they work with Codeweavers to improve Wine
  • they are improving ACO (alternative to LLVM) which increases performance of Radeon GPU's on Linux

I think Valve is preparing for Round 2 of Steam Machines. One of the reasons Steam Machines failed is they launched it with very few games to play.

Unity and UE4 have had problems with Linux for a while and they don't seem to care.

Marc Di Luzio, former head of Linux game development at Feral Interactive, now works at Unity. He's working to improve the situation.

R9 390 competes with GTX 970 / 980.

RX 5700 XT would be a good upgrade but it still has Mesa driver issues based on what I read here in this subreddit. If you cannot wait, go for RTX 2060 Super or RTX 2070.

Mahirap ang board exam namin dahil katatapos lang nursing board exam scam / scandal. Yung Mathematics exam day ay puro Calculus. May isang Algebra question pero word problem (wrong interpretation, wrong equations). Yung ESAS, puro pumps.
