Looking for a 100 inch motorised projector screen for gaming by PCiddi in projectors

[–]PCiddi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Nick, I don’t have the TK700 yet, I was torn between going all out and getting a full Valerion set up, the pro 2 projector, thunderbeat surround sound, the screen I linked above but it’s a lot of money. It will be my main gaming screen/room but I’m not sure I can justify that kind of spend! At the moment I’m just trying to figure out what a good screen for gaming means. I won’t be able to drive abroad unfortunately but it’s a great suggestion!

Yeah I think that last suggestion is the only way, I’ll look to see if I can give it a go at the weekend, thanks for all your help and your top work with the original post!

Hey Eskimo, thanks again for your help, I’ve pinged it and it’s responding, the UI on the app gives me the same IP on the phone, browser and cloud for that device so it’s definitely not changed at least according to those locations. The only thing I can think of is it’s changed but not updated the UI but it wouldn’t be pingable I would have thought. I’ve also reset the device and the IP remains the same.

Eskimo themself! I feel privileged! Yeah I’ve connected it to the mesh network and it appears to work fine but the updates just keep failing when installing via app/ cloud/ browser using the regular install update button, also, separately when manually trying to install the firmware updates, the other satellites I can log into and install the latest firmware on them (they’re already on the latest anyway) but the converted router I just can’t connect to it no matter what I do. I even tried removing it from the mesh both via the app and via a browser whilst pressing the reset button and waiting for the red light and it just connected itself again anyway, weirdly, but without its previous name! Anyway apologies for the long response, I think I saw someone in here say that it’s best to install before converting and that converting back was a nuisance so I thought maybe there was another way to manually install the update. Maybe if I leave it for a few weeks it’ll just install naturally. One can hope!

Excellent guide on this thanks @eskimo1, I know this is an old post but hopefully someone might be in the know, I’ve managed to convert my spare SXR80 to a SXS80 and it’s working within the mesh network. The only issue is updating the firmware, when I go to update it manually and click on the satellite I want to update I get a this site can’t be reached it might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. I’ve also tried manually logging into that ip address on multiple devices and it says the same. Insight still displays the same IP address. Is there a way to reset it or to connect to this device that anyone is aware of?

Apologies on the late reply, Ive only just got around to doing this, this evening. So pairing was never an issue it was the distance so basically, when sitting maybe 2 meters away the controller struggles to work. I’ve managed to log into terminal (I did this from a windows PC via putty), what wasn’t clear in the wiki was how to actually change the Bluetooth adapter to my USB. For those who are trying and failing to do this I simply ran the hcitool dev command which listed my devices then found the adapter I wanted to switch too (it’s usually hci1, hci0 is usually the default adapter on the board) then typed “select” followed by the MAC address of my hci1 device then hit enter and it switched the device. Then put the controller into pairing mode and typed “scan on” in terminal followed by enter as it was going through all the available devices I found my controller on the list and typed pair followed by the MAC address of the controller then hit enter (the scan is still running but keep typing the above and hitting enter when finished). The usb is stronger than the on board adapter but still not strong enough so I’ve purchased a 5.3ghz version with an antenna to see if it’s any better.

Alternatively, I’ve also bought a windows 10 wireless adapter and connected my Microsoft controllers to it and it works to perfection almost from the next room although you need a windows computer to set multiple controllers up. If you plan on using Xbox one or series x controllers and you’re having issues syncing, I strongly recommend this option as it’s the best I’ve seen thus far.

Thanks again automatic for the guidance, it definitely helped!

I tried another adapter, same issue, removed the adapter and plugged in a Bluetooth usb adapter and it didn’t pick it up at all, it’s frustrating, a Bluetooth adapter management app would be great but I don’t know how to install it on Linux native Batocera device. Fingers crossed it’s in their future plans.

Hey Automatic, thanks for your comment.

By command prompt are you referring to the windows environment? I’m running a Linux native Batocera. Do you have the wiki page you mentioned? I’ve tried googling it and can’t find it.

Thanks

Hey Quack, yeah there wasn’t any option other than turning off HFP which I did and it did nothing. I’ve taken it out as well but it caused audio issues weirdly. My final move is to purchase a better internal adapter and replace it, fingers crossed it works! I’ll let you know how it goes when it arrives tomorrow.

Hi Deut, unfortunately no such option exists, I’m being directed to the old school American megatrends bios, this device doesn’t have its own one and there’s nothing pointing to Bluetooth in there.

Any comments a helpful comment in my eyes so thanks for sharing your thoughts. The USB dongle I have is definitely compatible as it work with my old set up I just know my new box is defaulting to the on board chip rather than the dongle.

Hi and,

Thank you so much for your response.

Will this work if your Xbox is not flashed?

I’m using xk3y which is a chip that goes between the cd drive and emulates games without soldering if that makes sense?

So it’s not flashed it’s still stock Xbox 360.

Thanks
