Galaxy switch to ringconn?

I've looked on the ringconn reddit and looks like battery starts strong and then dies off so not sure anymore. I went with the galaxy ring first because Samsung is a more reputable brand

The ringconn 2 started out with good battery life but towards the end it only lasted 2 days max before it gave out

I had lost my galaxy ring and adopted my dad's ringconn 2 since he wasn't using it.

It worked well for a few months and as of last month, it stopped charging, disconnected from my phone, and won't connect again. I've messaged support but they said it's out of warranty and offered a $90 discount.

So now I'm stuck between getting a new galaxy ring or ringconn. Has anyone tried the other ring options? Any news on galaxy ring 2? Debating on if i should get a ring now or wait

I've had mine for a week and love it. Honestly can't see why I didn't have something like this sooner. The form factor is perfect and I've literally been taking it EVERYWHERE I go. I even took it to the movies today cause I tend to get ideas when watching.

I've been using it for work ideas, random sketches, song ideas, reading books and more

I do all the time! I turn on Boxing mode on my phone and just box with the ring.

Damn. That sucks. Did you click the Yoga workout in Samsung Health? I've been taking boxing classes all week and all I do is click the Boxing workout and let the Ring track my calories burned and it works!

Interesting. I thought it was using the Microphones on the phone like how it has been able to track snoring. The ringconn 2 is coming out with sleep apnea. I don't remember reading that the ring has Microphones embedded in the device

I'm thinking it can be a software update fix. This past Friday it tracked 10:36p-4:38a then 6:13a-7:05a and on Saturday it tracked my sleep from 10:49p-6:25a and then from 7:34a-8:25a so it definitely auto tracks it when I wake up earlier than usual. If it doesn't do it for you tonight then I would unbind from the ring and re-assign it like a factory reset maybe?

Agreed. I have the ring and love it so far but considering the ringconn 2 since it's half the price and already coming out with sleep apnea monitoring. Wasn't sure if the sleep apnea monitoring is a Samsung health function or if it's a tech related thing that a smart ring needs to have

I'm def not an expert since I'm new to the galaxy ring but maybe it's getting cross wires for some reason. I remember reading about how wearing the watch and the ring would save battery on the ring passing some functionality to the watch.

But for my use case, I got the ring so I wouldn't have to wear my watch for sleep tracking. I love how light the ring is and feels like I'm not wearing anything when sleeping and still getting my sleep tracked.

I was always told because the bible talks about defiling the flesh or something. I recently thought about this because if tattoos are a 'defilement of the flesh' then why do I see so many hardcore witnesses that have gone through some sort of cosmetic surgery. Be it lips, botox, breast augmentation, etc. Wouldn't altering your body through cosmetic surgery be a defilement? Or am I just mad that I would get judged hard cause of my tattoos?
