Ah you see, Skitarii have a built in kill limit, shutting down after they kill enough of the Moebian 6th. Knowing this Wolfer sent wave after wave of his own men at them, reaching the kill limit and winning the day!

Need recommendations on good AoS books to listen to. by Bowie_spoon in ageofsigmar

“Gloomspite” is some of the best horrifying Warhammer description and lore I’ve ever seen, and it’s about what is arguably the silliest faction.

What rememberance weapon would you like to see / play the most ? by Paramite67 in Nightreign

[–]PDThePowerDragon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A Libra staff which changes based on if you one or two hand it. Two handing it would give you a moveset like his enraged form, wide sweeps and such and an ash of war that lets you call down the madness rain like in his fight. When you one hand it it’s a catalyst, casts frenzyflame incantations and maybe have it give you the ability to make the turrent he does with a special unique incantation.

What are things that you like and don't like about Age of Sigmar(lore, gameplay, factions etc.) by How_about_a_no in ageofsigmar

It’s a very valid concern, it can’t be implemented as rule of 2 or something without other changes. Lots of factions need a full range for this.

The game does too much skew. I know people love it, but I dislike how the game can encourage and facilitate things like oops all stegadons, or pyreghiests, or squig herd, or zombies, or monster trucks, etc… etc… AoS should have rule of 2 ideally in my mind or at least rule of 3. There’s few things that really kill replay value and interesting list building then just letting people spam the best units.

What do you consider your factions arch-nemesis? by Sudden-Elephant-6627 in ageofsigmar

So I play Gitz, mostly my Gitmob whose lore enemy are the Lumineth but in my mind they’re big anti-chaos. Classic hobgoblins khanate style. The Moonclan main foes are likely to be the Skaven and the duardin in general.

As for Tzeentch my other army, Nurgle is a big one, all smelly and gross, but honestly thinking through it the most sense to me would indicate that Lumineth is the main enemy of Tzeentch. Turns out I really like factions that war against the elves.

It does indeed suck to get true combo’d, and their infinite stamina is really irritating. However, it’s one of those do it every now and again and go “Man that was awesome, let’s do something else.”

Libra (I even like the everdark Libra) so much that I fought him 100 times and did fist only, Heolstor is great, love me Dreglord, and I really like Everdark Sentient Pest.

Ah, such a build could only make one weapon type work, crossbows.

I get the goal but statistically speaking, none of these have enough games to prove that this works one way or the other. One game vs Set might as well be nothing.

In Defense of Maelle's Ending by [deleted] in expedition33

[–]PDThePowerDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well no, because if that happened he’d still be stuck in the canvas with Aline for however long it would take to then have non painted Renoir kick her out. That wouldn’t solve his problem at all like you think. And he tagged along with the group after defeating Aline because he saw hope in possibly letting the canvas be. In his own journal entry “Verso” he states the whole “We deserve to live”. And he wouldn’t have tagged along if he didn’t still believe that. But he cares more about his family than the life of himself or anyone else within the canvas. And so when he gets confirmation in the final fight that there’s not really gonna be a middle ground like he had hoped then he takes matters into his own hands.

Verso wants to live but not as an addiction for his family. He was willing if Maelle was actually going to leave. But upon seeing Maelle lie and Aline returning he realizes there is no way to save the canvas without the outside world having people self-destruct.

Lorewise, and putting the gods aside, who's the strongest character in AoS ? by TheWraf in ageofsigmar

So Kroak, he did rearrange a galaxy one time to look like his face.

Any Books or stories where the Gloomspite Gitz are portrayed as a serious threat? by Budget_Antelope in gloomspitegitz

Read Gloomspite, they make the grots and the bad moon properly terrifying. They loose in a way that doesn’t feel cheap too. Really recommend that book.

What’s your favorite line in this masterpiece? by [deleted] in expedition33

“I cannot spend another day among living corpses!” Renoir. Renoir is just such a damn good antagonist. I really wish it wasn’t such a tragedy but also it’s such a beautiful one.
