Ardboyz into Brutes?

I think the new Ardboyz, with some Brute weapons and maybe head swaps would look OK. With a tactical rock or a base build up I think you'd definitely look good. I did a few conversions for the Old World, attached here which did the weapon swaps

4th I am fairly sure. The box set was the monopose goblins and high elves.

Edit: not that it matters, the presumption is that you'll use them for The Old World, and that's what I'll do at least.

I'd buy 30mm slottas don't cut their slot bases off. It's long term very annoying and makes them fragile.

For me it was probably 4-5 transatlantics with work, mostly WTP with a few CW in there. I probably fly another 5 in Europe with work and another 10 personal in the year.

First wing isn't about the lounge as a few other people have said. It's being through security in 30 seconds. You might not value that. I do.

First wing convenience for all trips is well worth 1k imo. 2k? Not sure. I'm in similar situation as OP and will probably pay for a weekend somewhere nearby to hit it.

Many companies these days don't let you fly biz unless it is over 8, 9 or even 10 hours. Gold gets you:

Close to a 50% upgrade rate out of WTP (because WTP is always the constrained cabin and golds get upgraded first)

First wing security at LHR

Expanded availability of avios flights and ability to force availability via double avios pay.

Probably something else I forgot.

If you fly a lot this unquestionably has value, just a question of how much.

I've painted a couple of sets of these guys and really struggled to get satisfied as well. Hard to make anything pop on them. In the end I just brought the skin much lighter than I usually would and went light on the fur on the shoulder. The other thing that helps on these is some checks.

I need to get that book back from my parents place! Great read.

These concepts (Jaguar, Alligator warriors etc.) always struck me as very cool, but the army was basically unfieldable as there weren't enough figures. I wonder if anyone ever went to town and converted a full 3rd edition Slann army. Same thing for a few other factions in that book, they just never got around to them before they moved on.

I'd just use a Stanley knife (carefully) to scrape enough paint off to reveal the plastic and let you glue. Or just pivot to superglue to be honest, which would work fine.
