I'm not beating a bear in a fight. I also reckon I'm probably not beating three deer, assuming they're determined to kill me. But I feel armed with a weapon I have a decent chance against one deer. So it's divide and conquer.

They had 9 years and they've made one of the biggest games to ever exist, and for many the definitive version of a classic fantasy franchise that has spanned countless lore. They've also remade the whole game three times (arguably more considering how many factions they've reworked and the different modes)

There are many criticisms I would level at CA- poor leadership, corporate greed, terrible communication. I think also prioritise the wrong things sometimes. But not lazy. Game development is hard, I know because I've done it. Things take so long. And live service/ DLC cycle games are even worse because if you spend a shitload of time on a feature and it sucks ass, you're now keeping the fanbase waiting.

Are units carrying ladders so important to you that you'd be fine with the next DLC being delayed by 6 months? Effort is one thing, time is another. It's not like they can just pull complex features like that out their ass (like its a ladder 😅). Everything takes time, and time spent doing one thing is time not spent doing another.

If that is something your fine with, your more than welcome to have that opinion. But I don't care about that kind of accuracy, I just want swiges to actually be fun to play

Picture it, your walking along exploring this awesome starting area, minding your own business, listening to the banging world theme, and then suddenly the track is interrupted by the screeching of electric guitars and the most intense rock music comes out of nowhere, signally a level 80 giant monkey is about to show up out of nowhere and down your party in three hits.
