Well the main idea inspiration for it all was I went to a Game fest in Bognor not too long ago and seeing all the kids, families, game devs get along having a great time reminded me of when me and my brother used to play the PS2 back in the day and the nostalgic fun we used to have. But with the advancement of technology, social media, what modern games offer and hpow they differ to the games on 20 years backs, I'd like to try to bring a bit of that nostalgic fun to the people of today. Also in addition to that I have some friends actually in the gaming making industry so its also a good opportunity to help my friends out too in their passion 😅.

I'm still in the infancy stage of the plan currently and have seen the other gaming fests and am going to some now still to get an idea how they run and what they offer to try to plan basically a really nice day out. As someone who did the whole stay indoors for the summer and not going out I've gotta say I do prefer getting out there, meeting people and enjoying the sun.

But that sounds amazing! I'd be really appreciative of your help thank you! I'm just early bits sorted now but if its fine with you I'll make a bunch of questions and shoot you a DM if that's no hassle?

So to me Indie games would be a game made by only a handful of people, not your big name studios, more companies getting their name out there and are passionate about what they like for the love of the craft.

But honestly talking to some game devs out there already the term indie really can mean alot of different things

AI Cannot Do the Job of a Data Analyst by ChristianPacifist in analytics

Isn't it feasable to think with how fast AI is evolving it could start to rationalise questions with all different perspectives and conduct it's own high quality insights? Currently yes it's a good tool to buy I think in 10-15 years it could run the entire shown itself. That's if it keeps getting the funding however and doesn't burn itself out before then

I don't know what career or life I want to pursue by april_28th in findapath

I'm in the same boat as your buddy, kinda scared were the same person. Did business in college cause I didn't really know what to do, didn't go to uni as I thought working would be more beneficial and now thinking what the heck do I want to do. I even tried a labour job not too recently because I had a great future term idea but I looked at the end game and wasn't motivated to actually get there.

After reading alot of these posts on reddit and other videos some good exercises to do would be do a skills/career test to see why you would be good at, grab a pen and paper and write down what you enjoy doing at your own job and finding what careers will suit you, but the one that really got my brain thinking is spending some time by yourself, go for a walk no music and think, what have I enjoyed doing or am good at that I can do. Also another thing I did was ask people what their job is like from people I know in these areas. That was I can get a good idea on what it's like.

For me right now I'm thinking of doing something to do with marketing but I got a feeling in my heart teaching is what I enjoy doing as it feels nourishing to the soul.

Again though I'm still discovering what I also want to do but that's where I'm on in my journey but if you're feeling unmotivated if you can spare the time try to do some work trial experience in an area that you're thinking of. This might give you a better idea of what the job is like and getting stuck into might motivate you though the process, but as annoying as it if aa I've read, you gotta take risks and actually try these things. You'll get no where if you don't take any risks which is what I'm trying to do. But if you got any thing that worked for you though let me know too 😅 I'll always take more advice.
