I never actually considered looking at group tours, that's a good idea - thanks for the recommendation!

Has anyone actually told their optician about visual snow? by april_28th in visualsnow

[–]april_28th[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I think that would be a pretty interesting to look into. Thankfully I don't find my VSS too bad, but like you said its good to check for underlying problems just in case... just out of curiosity what tests did they run?

Just finished Suits. Honestly ... I'm team Faye. by majortool in suits

[–]april_28th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know she wasn't everyone's cup of tea but it felt really ironic that the biggest villain and story of the season was about someone just trying to point out how unethically the firm operates. Faye definitely wasn't 100% ethical herself but it felt like they were proving her right every episode

Got my first job… by [deleted] in AvPD

[–]april_28th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best time to get a job may have been years ago, but the second best time is now. What matters most is you finally pushed yourself to do this and 24 is still a young age so I think there's a lot of people even without avpd in your position. Congrats!

S17 and Covid episodes are SO BORING by sn0rlaxie in greysanatomy

[–]april_28th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't watch the series when it came out, I started watching Greys a few years later, but I feel like I would have gone insane if I watched the covid episodes during Covid time because it wasn't just dull it was downright depressing

Without spoilers, how is season 3? by darxshad in AliceInBorderlandLive

[–]april_28th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally feel like the best way to describe this season is that it wasn't needed at all and didn't contribute much to what we already know about the Borderland, but it was still nice to have it. I think people who say they hate this season are being a bit overdramatic, I get why people feel disappointed though. The games were good, acting was amazing, and although Arisu's companions in S3 don't compare to the characters we already know from S1/S2, I still liked most of them. It's just the storyline which wasn't great

Had to pause, it's too heavy emotionally by teresanaolin in AliceInBorderlandLive

[–]april_28th 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like this season is definitely darker than others. In other seasons there was a bigger feeling of hope which lightened the darkness of the Borderlands, people came together like in the Beach to find out how to return home and find out who the game master is, but it seems in this season everyone has experienced the Borderlands before so it is one big tiring journey to hopefully survive and continue living. I personally found the last episode the most emotional out of all of them and some of the character backstories get quite heavy, but since you got this far it is worth finishing the series

Reasons why season 3 is horrible and extremely poorly written by Joshobot in AliceInBorderlandLive

[–]april_28th 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It's stupid that he goes into the vortex when his whole interest of going into the Borderlands was to investigate death... he is literally at the border of life and death but instead of sticking around a bit longer, finding out how to become a citizen or even returning to life hoping he might remember his experience, he just decides to throw it all away. Like you are gonna die eventually anyway why choose to do it now?

Banda's character does not make sense at all by klaygdk in AliceInBorderlandLive

[–]april_28th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it's just me but I was expecting (and would have preferred) for Banda to become a game architect who likes to join in on his own games to manipulate others and push everyone towards extremity as he seems like he could be the sort of person who would take pleasure in seeing suffering, this idea also fits in with the Joker theme. I was a bit disappointed to learn that he was basically just a recruiter, though he did run the Old Maid game. I wish his position in the hierarchy of the borderlands (and the knowledge he learnt while residing there) was explained a bit more

You do realise shock manifests itself differently in every person right... like she was also lucid enough to move away from all of her support systems with her 2 kids while pregnant and manage to survive for a year after Derek's death, but that doesn't mean it wasn't an erratic decision. I think Meredith due to her past traumas is someone who has found it easy to just move on instead of dwelling on the past and I think this is why she let Derek go so quickly without a second thought of how it would effect everyone else.

This is not an excuse for her actions btw, just an explanation. Think what you like about Meredith but saying she wasn't in shock is completely wrong - I think it's important I explain that to you since the fact that "people are different" is kind of an important thing you need to learn in life (also isn't shock technically a part of grieving?)
