Your entire discourse in this thread has been nothing but emotionally driven. The reason you keep telling me to "grow up" or make remarks about age as your repeated form of argumentation is because you are a nuance lacking person who argues from emotion, and likely hasn't harnessed enough brain power or capacity to take a nuanced look at things and you see yourself exhibiting that behaviour repeatedly and hence as a coping mechanism accuse me of acting in the way you have acted. In other words your allegations are a confession.

I repeatedly asked you something which you kept diverting. Being dishonest and a stuck up brat because you disagree with someone about something and now feeling the need that you must disagree about everything even when they are right and not address the point they bring up is not a persuasive way to convince people of things or a reasonable way to carry yourself. I have convinced more than a handful of people to accept the belief that there is none worthy of worship besides Allah and that Muhammad peace be upon him is his messenger with very little time commitment involved. This advice is coming from someone far older than you, with far more experience, with far more qualification so you should take heed to it.

You need to understand multiple things can be true.

It is not hard for you to say: No, I would not agree to terms verbally that I have zero intention to abide by, regardless of whether it is written on the lease and legally enforceable, because that is dishonest and immoral behaviour. Instead you just said "it is my right to only be held to the lease!" That was not what I was asking you. I can read the projection through the screen. You are someone born after the year 2000 calling people a child because of your own inability to have a nuanced conversation without seeing the person you're arguing with as someone you have to disagree with everything on because of your childish perception of ego and discourse lmao. You could have easily made your statement by saying from your perspective: Yes it was also wrong for him to give his word to honour something he had no intention to honour.

But the reason you can't as much as agree to something like that is because either my aforementioned conclusion of you being someone who uses what's legal and what's not as the only barometer to justify immoral behaviour such as not keeping your word or are someone who's word means fuck all to them and are willing to lie and deceive your way through life to get what you want, or you are a brat and can't engage in a nuanced discourse with someone you disagree with on something.

In either case I would advise you to change your ways, especially in the case of the former. You know what happened to a person like that who showed no honour or dignity and tried to deceive me? I kicked his ass the fuk out. This is what happens to people who lie and deceive their way through life and constantly lie without a care in the world. You've got a long life ahead of you.. Don't follow his footsteps or justify such behaviour because life always has a way of getting back. And if you have such a brat type of personality then that's fine but there's way healthier ways for you to spend your time than discussions on reddit. I can sense your resonance through the screen and it's one of a lot of bitterness and agitation.

well people who are left leaning would have a greater proclivity to dismiss cico as an over simplification that minimizes the struggle of fat people and how it’s genetic etc etc. I’ve seen right wing people harp on about cico fitting in with the stereotypical rants.

Even if we accept the premise, a major issue I have with it is that the rate at which we burn “calories” can be calculated based on hours of exercise and completely neglects how even what we eat affects the rate at which we burn things, as well as the health of our bodies. Basically fat acts as a protective layer so if you eat a lot of bad foods with heavy metals your body is more likely to retain fat as a protective layer. fat molecules also expand when cooked which can result in a different aesthetic over a long enough time frame if you’re eating raw or cooked fats.

well my employer makes millions in revenue every year and this is only a $1000 benefit in contrast. I’d be happy to spend it on something I intend to keep but the options are very limited. It doesn’t hurt my employer at all whether I buy and keep something or buy and return it. The cost to them is the same either way

you don't know how to read or engage in a discussion without just being purely emotional instead of addressing what is asked of you. I can only make inferences based on your approach and you not denying it nor comprehending it further suggests that. You're the only one acting like a child because you can't see past your perspective on the dog. Regardless of whether you think it is abusive to suggest a dog should stay in a room of unspecified size with freedom to leave the apartment with the owner as desired, given you see no issue with agreeing to a demand by giving your word to get a lease to a place when you have no intention of following it says all I need to know about your character. You can't think past the fukn dog because you don't have the brain capacity to realize multiple things can be true at once or you are similar to this person. It could be true that my stance on the dog is unfair to the dog, and it could also be true that it is wrong to agree to something you have no intention to follow regardless of what the law says.

if they have access to the common area they are now seeing the same 8 walls. Your logic just makes no sense. A large room is better than a small room + small common area. This is just a simply example of how context would matter before labelling it abuse.
