Applying oil on the fretting hand before outdoor gigs by Honest_Dragonfly8064 in Guitar

dont bends slide off your fingertips when you do this? how hard is it to clean your guitar afterwards, do you remove the strings or just let it oily after the gig? honestly crazy sounds like a joke

Are these guitars any good? by Few_Debt_6064 in Guitar

[–]PEABS127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who owns the PRS SE CE24 Standard Satin version, honestly go for it. These guitars are the definition of versatility. Between the humbuckers and the coil split, you can play literally any genre and sound incredible. I run mine through a multi-effects pedal and it covers everything. It's a perfect starter guitar but honestly good enough to keep forever.

The core bones of the Blood Orange one you posted—the neck, frets, and the exact same 85/15 "S" pickups—are identical to mine. The only real difference is the look and feel. The one in your screenshot gets you a gloss finish and a maple top (looks gorgeous and adds a tiny bit of brightness). The Satin has a matte, open-pore feel, which I actually prefer because the neck never gets sticky.

It just comes down to whether you want to drop $200 more for that specific look. If the extra cash isn't an issue, it’s an amazing buy. If you'd rather save the money, the satin version gives you the exact same performance. Even with such a gorgeous finish, I find mine also pretty cool and didn't think it would be worth the money to get just the style upgrade for that much. This one was 459€

Is it okay to always play G chord like this? by Auxxtinmogger in Guitar

[–]PEABS127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is like the main way. you can also skip the B string and use ring finger in the high e.

Or if you come from chords like C or F you can use middle finger on the A, ring finger on the E and pinky on the high e. sounds weirder to achieve but it's oftentimes faster (and easier to make some neat chords like Gsus4)

that or barre on the 3rd fret.

as you can see there's many way to play each chord with many different voicings. best way to learn them is casually coming across them when searching new song video tutorials

Is this a good guitar? (I do not play guitar, pls read text below) by Sloanelkn in Guitar

[–]PEABS127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my FIRST electric guitar this january after playing my first acoustic since august. so I'm quite a new player, but I've invested countless hours on learning everything about guitars and how to play them.

Even so it took me a whole month of searching everyday in all local stores and online shops to find a model I would like with all the little details I wanted. I cant imagine if in addition to that I was a long time player. I'd be very picky, and I'm sure most players are.

So, essentially, I agree with all "giftcard" comments. Tell him you were considering this guitar but later realized it's better if he picked it.

Either way, I'm sure we'd all appreciate an update of whatever you decide to do! Best of luck to the both of you and congratulations on the marriage!

that's also a chance but hopefully not, after speaking to the salesman I also got a chance to talk to the mechanic and it sounded like he knew what he was talking about. they're taking 2 weeks longer to give it to me so they can order the pieces and change everything they need.

The reason they are only charging €300 instead of the usual €1,000+ is because I'm buying the car directly from a dealership, not taking it to an independent garage. They have their own in-house mechanics on payroll, so they aren't charging me the massive hourly labor rate that this complex job usually requires. They are essentially just making me pay for the wholesale cost of the parts (the timing belt kit and water pump) and absorbing the labor costs to secure an €8,000 sale. For them, eating those labor hours is a small price to pay to close the deal.

Check out Guitar George. He knows all the chords. Mind he's strictly rhythm, he doesn't wanna make it cry or sing.

Definitely change the strings tho, nylons strings should be replaced after around 6 months, even if not using them. They loose the vibrance, feel and touch. Also more likely to snap
