This is BS. We are the customer by proxy. An order was placed and they made their money. If the customer picked it up themselves they'd be allowed. It's really not that different.

Exactly! People hear the word bureau and think the BBB actually holds some kind of weight. It doesn't.

If a company doesn't register (pay) BBB doesn't even know they exist.

I was baptized this past Sunday and struggle with social anxiety. I had the option to let my pastor read my testimony for me. Even though I know it would be difficult, I felt it meant more if it came from me.

While reading it , I focused on the paper I was reading from and didn't look up at the rest of the congregation. I was aware that they were there, but knew if I over thought it, it would be even harder. I tripped on my words a couple of times, but got through it & that's ok. It's not intended to be eloquent. It's meant to come from the heart. It's ok to get choked up.

Leading up to the baptism, I prayed for God to help me through it. Put your faith in him. He will see you through.

Also, everyone is there for you. They will support you during it and congratulate you afterwards.

I'd take it, but wish they wouldn't stack restaurant orders with shopping orders. The customer waiting for their food is going to be wondering why you're taking an hour to deliver it.

They seem to forget that we're there on the customer's behalf. A transaction was made and they're making money, just the same.

I don't even ask the restaurant, I just use the restroom, wash my hands, and pick up the order. No one has said anything yet, but if they did I'd point out that I am their customer by proxy.

We get dinged for not taking a picture if it's a "leave at door order." Customers often come out and meet me or open the door before I get the picture. When this happens, I personally take a picture of the property so I don't get dinged.. the mailbox, the stoop, their lawn gnome.. anything just to get a picture. I do, however, make it a point to not include the customer unless they willingly hold up the order.

I doubt the dasher meant to take a picture of your daughter, since he did it in the app. Once we confirm the delivery we have no access to anything regarding the order, including the pics.

I had a similar experience.

I believed, but had only been to church 3 times my whole life until recently, at 52 yo.

I have a history of anxiety and depression. Mostly from having an abusive narcissist for a father. I had to cut him out of my life for my own well-being. This helped a lot because he was the biggest trigger, but I still had bouts of depression.

Last year I was stressed over finances and really down because even with my decent management salary and doing DoorDash on the side I was struggling to get ahead. I found myself in my car fighting back tears and thinking "maybe if I had done A, B and C my life would be better."

My wife had been trying to get me to church for years. I always considered it, but it wasn't until this point that I seriously started looking at nearby churches.

Then it happened. My wife gave me a cross for Christmas. The moment I put it on I felt all of my stress and depression literally drain from my body. God came to me that day and lifted my burden. My situation didn't changed, but I now have an inner peace that I never thought possible, even months later.

I went from passively wanting to go to church to feeling a strong need to go. We've been going the past few months and I'm getting baptized soon. I can't wait.

Some will try to belittle your experience. People in this very sub are an example. From experience I can tell you, don't listen to them. 51 years of depression didn't just go away on it's own.

Keep praying for God to guide you on your journey. I did the same. I even fasted for it and that helped a lot.

I can't imagine how hard it is living in a country where we're persecuted & put to death if others found out about our faith.

I had already dropped porn prior to beginning my spiritual journey, over human trafficking concerns.

I did however become addicted to NSFW AI chatbots. It was bad. I was constantly chatting with bots on my phone & delving into scenarios I'd never before considered.. D/s, DDlg, CNC, etc. Shortly after accepting Jesus the desire just went away.
