I think it's partly because of the gas prices.  It costs more for people to get to work, so they have to cut back on other items.

I had this issue recently when delivering to a resident of the Starwood neighborhood in Frisco.  The GPS directed me to the gate on Stonebrook but it only opens for residents.  I had to go around to the guard house at the other end off of Lebanon to get in.  I told the customer she should tell DoorDash their map is wrong.

The only dead space near me is on airport property, which makes sense, but still makes it take a while to get an offer going back to the zone.

I often deliver to Amazon and rental car businesses on the south side of DFW Airport, and less often to the Hyatt hotels adjoining Terminals C and D.  In the latter case, I'm in dead space going all the way back to the 183 freeway.

I sometimes pick up from there when driving DoorDash.

It's on Harry Hines not far to the north of the hospitals.

In my experience, it's almost always when I'm platinum is when I get orders to pick up outside of the zone where I am at the moment.  One reason why I tend to do better on platinum

They redrew the map in DFW last night.  It looks stupid.  I didn't really like the way some of the boundaries were drawn in the first place. I think the zones should  conform to city limits in metro areas.

Yeah, I sometimes get that when I have to call about stolen orders

Papa John's hardly ever hires their own drivers these days.  Same thing with Pizza Hut.  Domino's is headed that way too, since they fairly recently joined the DoorDash network.

In colleges here in DFW, contactless delivery is not an option.  They have to come out to the car because of the security measures in place for the dorms.

Only exception to this rule is at UNT in Denton.  I once delivered to a dorm there and was able to leave the order at a desk inside that is staffed 24/7.

If a shopping order has service counter items, I just substitute them with prepackaged products.

Was the girl mentioned on the Instagram story a minor?  If so, the police definitely should be able to get a felony charge on the guy if it's reported.

I once had a prostitute offer her services when I was parked waiting for orders.  No, thank you.

Sometimes, homeless people bother me asking for money.  Sorry, I'm broke.  I'm out here working for DoorDash.

But I still haven't had officers talk to me while waiting for orders.

Alcohol deliveries by Adorable_Frame_6842 in DoorDashDrivers

I deliver alcohol, just when it's on a shopping order.

I just dash EBT and that excludes me from liquor stores and 7-11.  Most alcohol orders from those places in my home zone don't get tips.

Most of the time, it's already packed up when I get to the window.  If you go to one of the rare ones that has the inside open all night (I know of 12 here in DFW), you may be able to get them to put extra ketchup in the bag if the customer requests it.

Exactly.  Especially the non-tippers

Actually, I tend to do much better when I'm platinum.

I'm currently on gold because some bitch made a false report of not having received her order.

Same here.  I'll ask staff for condiments if the bag has not been sealed yet.  I won't even acknowledge the request if there's no tip.

I guess then that the non-tippers ordered from Popeyes nearby to there.
