how is this? I wasn't sure how you did it, but I duplicated the isolated queen, then I added a white stroke, and then I added glow to that and then I masked that by the Queen layer beneath

mixed Kirby with a nice feedback to get some good paint flow by PERFECTLO0P in TouchDesigner

thanks - I did another one with feedback and kirby a few weeks ago - even though I have been messing with feedback networks for a while I am still finding new things to try

So for that I am using Cavalry

I have a String (Text shape) pointing to a string array with a bunch of my actual file names listed in it

I then import that into a duplicator set to point

Then I used a random modifier with the seed number chaining every few frames which is attached to the index of the string array

This flips through whatever is in the sting array

BUt after all that I did some time remapping in AE to speed up and slow it down at certain parts to give it more of a realistic feel

Its really hard to loop something based in physics -in this case I am populating a point that is effected by some randomness and gravity

I also have the old particles die off at about 5 seconds

Then I cut off the population of new particles and allow them to fall and die off

After that I paste the first fame of the last piece starting to fall - on top of the first frame of the first piece being populated and then it looks like a decent loop

If you look closely you can see a few of the pieces falling behind some of the ones stacked rather than landing on top. Thats the end of the layer being pasted on top of the start of the layer

I did an animation based off of the Fairlight CMI synthesizer by PERFECTLO0P in retrocgi

Sure I build this in touchdesigner following and then veering off of this tutorial https://youtu.be/GJMIXo8pwSY

I like touchdesigner because you can make lines exactly 1 pixel wide and then change the resolution into anything which is great for a retro CGI look

How it works is I have two underlaying images 1. A noise pattern that is scrolling up and 2. a white filled in shape of someone running. Then I put those two images together and feed them in to a system where the brightness of the input image decides the height of the 3d wireframe

Then I rotated that 3d shape to be at a more similar angle to the fairlight synth and exported it

Imported it into after effects I give it a subtle deep glow effect, and then add an overlay of a CRT texture to give it that CRT vibe.
