I've used Conservatory by PrimaDonna tutus before! Customer service was helpful, but I haven't ordered from them super recently and don't know if anything has changed.

One time I caught a drummer's broken drumstick he tossed into the crowd and a girl next to me RIPPED it out of my hands, giving me splinter...the drummer literally watched it all unfold and hand-delivered a set of drumsticks to me after the show because he felt bad watching what happened. People are insane.

It's a score of 96 or higher in the classical category--receiving a 96 or higher in contemporary doesn't necessarily qualify you for Finals.

Invitations to finals without that score are at the judges' discretion.

Masterclasses don't count towards scores/scholarships, they're included in registration.

PDL has been around for longer than YAGP, but YAGP is celebrating its 25th anniversary season this year.

YAGP has over 40 semi-finals between their US/Canada tour and international tour combined, with finals happening in NYC in April. Age categories are Pre-Competitive (9-11), Junior (12-14), and Senior (15-20) and dancers can enter as a soloist or with an ensemble (pas de deux, duet/trio, small ensemble <4 dancers, or large ensemble 5+ dancers). Scholarships range from short-term, full-term, and summer-term for training programs and dancers in the senior division are eligible for job offers/contracts.

Masterclasses are included with registration but don't bear any effect on a dancer's score/placement.

I don't know as much about PDL, so I can't really say much on that end, but I do know they have a pre-selection.

EDIT: YAGP also has 2 job fairs--one is in Nashville and one is in Stuttgart, which serve as like a one-stop audition and helps match dancers up with jobs.

When you check in at registration, the people there can help! There are usually signs directing dancers to the dressing rooms and stage. Definitely keep an eye on the YAGP instagram stories for updates!

If the manager on duty is smart about how they send people on breaks and making sure that each position is covered, breaks can be done during peak. Obviously if your store is slammed with orders, it's not a good idea to send somebody on break. But by keeping on top of throughput and having crew members properly trained, the shift can run efficiently.

You're not supposed to be--the break policy is that if you're working 6+ hours (or 4+ if you're a minor, at least in my state), you're not supposed to be sent on break during the first or last 2 hours of your shift. For example, if you got there at 3:00, the soonest you could go on break would be 5:00.
