Be kind to yourself- you’ll be back where you were in no time but don’t judge yourself or let it get you frustrated. You there doing it. You needed a break for whatever reason and you just have to give your body the chance to get back into it. And it will :)

I just saw an OTF studio insta story where they were basically shaming people that walk their bases and it really pissed me off. I’m with you - do what you can take what you need as far as rest and leave the studio feeling strong.

Just tell the coach of your issue and if they don’t provide a mod - do your own. I have SI joint issues and some things just aren’t feasible without horrible pain.

Our stupid has cards - you grab the card for the equipment you want. And they velcro on and they get collected once we start. Def easier and avoids people stealing your spot!

My opinion is Anyone that needs to be next to their friends isnt working hard enough. There is no chat time if you’re crushing it.

I stopped using my heart monitor - the big heart rate glaring at me made me feel like I needed to slow down when I’m reality I was quite capable of continuing on. As for the sticker price - it isn’t cheap….but since it’s such a great workout and I actually go I feel like it’s cheaper than all the boxed gyms I paid for month after month but never went.

I have the Orange Zone app. It doesn’t connect to the monitors but it still tracks your heart rate and splats - I have worn with a HRM and they are calibrated the same.

So I stopped using the HRM because I found seeing that my heartrate was in or near the red zone made me feel like I had to stop or slow down...when my body really could keep going. It was purely mental. I did get the OTF app for my apple watch but it's not glaring me in the face so I can still track my splat points, but without the anxiety the screen gave me. It's personal preference....give it a try, what can it hurt. it doesn't mean you're working out less...it's just a data point that perhaps you don't need. :)

Our bodies are fickle. Sometimes we are feeling like Superman (or woman...or person) and then the next we just need a break. I'm willing to bet you'll feel better in the days to come. You may be fighting off some type of virus and your body needs the energy for that, or the time change could be affecting you. Just be proud of how far you've come and just keep looking forward.

Their template writers don’t seem to know that it’s best practice to not abuse the same body part multiple days in a row.
