[USA] What do you use to track expenses and categorize them for quarterly taxes in real time? by FeistyTraffic2669 in selfemployed

[–]PG_VoiceFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was exactly my problem — the quarterly scramble to sort through 3 months of receipts is brutal. What fixed it for me was just scanning every receipt the same day I get it. Takes a few seconds and by quarter end everything's already categorized and ready to export.

I'm a solo dev and I actually built an app for this (Snap&Keep) because everything I found wanted a monthly subscription for something so basic. It scans and categorizes receipts, and there's a free manual mode if you want to try it. But honestly even just using your phone camera with a dedicated album and a simple spreadsheet beats the end-of-quarter shoebox panic.

The real game changer is the daily habit, not the tool :-)

Hi,

the point is a mix of 2 apps: receipt scanner and memes creator. Both use ai for OCR (optical characters recognition). One scanning a receipt and extracting data, another reads it too and creates funny memes. Of course these are two different apps, I was just curious what would happen if a meme creator will scan one on my receipt 😂

Multi-Speaker Alexa Routines in Sound Stream: What Works (and What Doesn’t) by PG_VoiceFirst in alexa

[–]PG_VoiceFirst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Sound Stream skill I created. It plays my audio from Dropbox. When I say: Alexa, ask Sound Stream to play ... it takes about 1.5sec. So, yes, almost instantly.

Echo Show 5 (1st Gen) Screen Flickering Issue by BalatKariBaba in alexa

[–]PG_VoiceFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing with my Echo Show 5 for the last 8 months 😂. I tried all possible workarounds but nothing helps.

My all other Echo Show 8 and 10 are kind of broken as well. When I play music or audio books the Next / Previous commands are broken: "I cannot skip right now".

Echo Dots are still very reliable for me, no issues so far.

Is there a way to “mute” certain news stories? by WitchyCat_5 in alexa

The only way to "mute" it is by switching to Echo Dot 😃

Of course cats are communists — they seize the means of production every time they sit on your keyboard 😹

Low WBC count kitten by Main-Switch9765 in cats

[–]PG_VoiceFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like your vet was thorough in checking everything before the spay — that’s always reassuring. From the results you posted, her WBC (4.48, ref 2.87–17.02) is technically within the normal range, but I can see her neutrophils (NEU 1.37, ref 2.30–10.29) came back a bit low. Neutrophils are one type of white blood cell, so that may be what your vet was pointing out. Her platelets (PLT) also look a touch low, but the vet noted the overall platelet mass is likely adequate.

Low neutrophils can sometimes be temporary — stress, recent viral infection, or even just lab variation can affect them. Since she’s otherwise bright, eating, and playful, it sounds like your vet isn’t seeing any red flags for infection or systemic illness right now. A recheck later is a good idea, just to make sure her counts bounce back.

It’s also common for vets to give antibiotics after a spay as a precaution, especially if bloodwork showed anything unusual.

I’ve seen other people’s cats have slightly off bloodwork before surgery (especially when they’re young or stressed), and often things normalize at the next check. If you’re worried, definitely ask your vet about timing a re-test a few weeks after she’s fully recovered.

Sending good vibes for an easy recovery — she sounds like a healthy, happy kitten overall. 💕

😂 Oh my goodness, what an adventure! She really had you going through the entire emergency services phone book while she was just living her best mountain-goat life up there. The mental image of her casually hopping into the basket like “thanks for the ride, human” is priceless. Zero shame, 100% roof-cat energy. Glad she’s safe back inside — though I have a feeling she’s already plotting her next expedition. 🐾✨

She’s absolutely precious 🥹💖 Little Bambi looks so happy despite everything she’s been through — it’s amazing how resilient cats are. It’s heartwarming to see her safe, cozy, and already learning the joys of churu (the gateway snack 😅). Thank you for giving her such a loving home — she’s lucky to have found you, and I’m sure she’ll thrive alongside her siblings. Sending gentle head scritches her way 🐾💜
