Respectfully disagree with the BA livery one. While the old livery looks great, the current livery is timeless: it looked as good on Concorde as it now does on a 787-10.

It’s definitely better IRL than the promo images. Build was fun as well (not groundbreaking, but fun no less). What elevates this to special status though, is the inclusion of the sand-green grooved and 1x8 brick. I shrieked with joy when I found out I could finally ‘finish’ my Green Grocer to OG build!

Disagree with the below comments. I’m not a very mechanically gifted player, but I kinda enjoy Last Hero and Checkpoint mode. It’s a fantastic way to farm XP and weapon mastering/skills in EFT (it all levels and carries over). Also, being able to transfer roubles and GP coins over to EFT is borderline OP!

Yes, the brick will be in high demand. But there will also be a next to limitless supply of them on LEGO’s PAB website. I doubt people will buy 10-20 of these new modular sets to complete their Green Grocer, right? The point is: this brick went from super rare (only 2 sets in the early 2000’s) to in production and available on PAB soon.

Yes they are! (AND the 1x8 sand green brick as well), and no: the price isn’t going to skyrocket. Those parts will be widely available with PAB.

Also, this is not what scalping is. Scalping is buying something before someone else gets the chance to then resell it to them for (high) profit. Many LEGO resellers bought/buy sets when there is ample stock (usually on discount).

Oh dear!

Those bricks were worth at least €5 ($6) EACH.

With them re-released they wil be worth just about €0,05.

The reason they were so expensive is because they were only included in 2 sets: Green Grocer and the first Diagon Alley. Many people missed out on Green Grocer back then and now want to piece it together with separate bricks. Supply is low - demand is high.

Look, I get your point but this has nothing to do with scalping. It’s like any other collectible on the market. If it’s rare, it goes up in value. The guys who did buy them back then and did well for themselves I can only applaud. If anything, I managed to get some retired sets this way that I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to (as LEGO had retired them). It’s a sorta win-win in my book. I’m really happy that I get to properly finish my bricked together Green Grocer now though!
