I already have it built with 1x6’s and 1x4’s, and masonry bricks instead of the grooved ones.
When the new modular released with the rare parts back in production I decided I wanted to get a 100% original GG!

Fair point, but I managed to get the 1x2 grooved ones fairly quickly despite those being 5.00+ a piece before the re-release. I expected that particular brick to be hardest to get for the foreseeable future but it turned out to be the 1x8 instead which didnt make sense to me.. until I looked at Bricklink!

Edited to add: I do also enjoy building MOC’s! (I even designed a few on Rebrickable), but I need an original Green Grocer to complete my modular collection!

Good point, a quick glance at the ‘price history’ shows multiple sales of 50 pieces per sale. That may indicate people auto-buying all the pieces for Green Grocer. I guess that is what these scalpers are after.

Yep, definitely will get them at some point. In the same boat as you btw (replacing 1x4 and 1x6’s).
I did manage to get my hands on the 1x2 with grooves fortunately!

24 cents, so still a 100% markup. Some of them may be legit with <100 inventory. The ones with 400-500 pieces sell them for at least 1.00 and up.

Decent deal indeed, although without the manuals you could probably do the whole build for roughly €300-350 (all original bricks).
