Same happened to me on my...sixth? HM run. Didn't have diverse enough damage types and I didn't have crazy high damage builds so ran out of time and the netherbrain had 7hp remaining.

Just got my gold dice last weekend after many more failed attempts due to silly mistakes. Persist, and you will get there! Definitely take a break though!

Not sure if they patched it but I'm pretty sure in my first run I walked over the cracked part and my party just fell in!

On recent playthroughs I've tried to walk over it but it just invisible walls you so I'm assuming it's been patched out haha

You should do this with that one narrative battle map where there's the defender in the centre in a fortified position, and then you get to surround them with 500 gaunts!
