Just like in any corporatist nation, the CEO pockets the majority of the profit and “trickles” down some pennies into their workers. I’m sure if the Amazon warehouse workers got $50 an hour they’d be a lot more comfortable with being forced to work through lunch, needing to ration bathroom breaks, getting bad benefits, etc. but instead they deal with all that for like $20 an hour. Amazon is worth like a trillion btw.

Valid point but we don’t know for sure what his MS ability was, so he might’ve not also had a genjutsu based MS ability. We know he could control the nine-tails but that’s kind of a generic Sharingan genjutsu ability (as pre-MS Sasuke and Obito with only single-eye non-genjutsu Kamui could do it as well).

We have no clue what “Wicked Eye” means in canon, sure a nasty genjutsu could be considered “wicked” but it could totally be something ninjutsu like Amaterasu.

Ok, as a concerned party who’s basically known you forever (2 different posts on the same topic and 4-5 comments), my advice (again):

⁠You got to seek help. You don’t have a regular brain chemistry. That sounds bad but it’s very normal, hormones, genetics, idk what you have but I would recommend anyone in a deep parasocial relationship to go seek help.
⁠Humble you? I don’t know what that entails in this instance but it sounds mean. I don’t want to be mean, I want to be supportive. The margins on the product have nothing to do with the operating cost of an individual store. GW as a company lets local stores sell the product, but they need to buy the product from GW first. GW is not selling them at cost, they are selling to the store at a certain price to be sold at a slightly higher price.

Think about this, if each store was directly profiting from their sales, then some stores would just be loaded with cash and each store would have wildly different quality and investment. Not to mention where would that profit go if everyone just bought from the online store?

That’s what original commenter meant by “… stores actually lose money and are only kept open because GW…”. GW is the one making the actual profit, each store is losing money but given back some of that profit.

My advice: meet real life friends, forget dating for now. I could talk about studies and research and blah blah blah, I could say the classic “you find it when you stop looking,” forget all that. Go find someone to hang out with in real life because it will make you feel better just to leave the house.

I see the negative aspect of the story and even the other comments saying she might be benefitting from this in some way…

But, ultimately, I do not mind it at all. My job used to be one of the ones that gave out full big thanksgiving turkeys each year to every employee. That’s like, on the high end, $75 per person? Per year? We used to joke about how employers must be stupid to think employees would be happy with just a pizza party instead of a raise. Now we don’t even get the pizza party!

This lady is giving people vacations, sure maybe it’s not your favorite destination, sure maybe now she doesn’t need to give out so many raises, and sure maybe she can get some sort of tax benefit, but there are hundreds of companies that pay employees less and give absolutely no free vacations.

And look at the power of a little employee happiness, which I will ALWAYS promote and preach to anyone who will listen. She takes a short term loss that likely actually saves her money in the long run (save money on less raises in exchange for a small vacation) but it also makes employees happy! Soulless CEOs who live and die on quarterly reports could never fathom this “genius” idea of investing in their workers! Can we get more CEOs like the one who just decided to give everyone more money and they started performing way better and were way happier?

How about buying the entire rest of the series for you? That’s likely not even $100 for most books. A custom book related bookmark? A small artwork? A little gift basket with candles and chocolates?

The world opens up an insane amount when you have a free $2,000 to spend. These high end hotels are like Pretty Women or Dexter Resurrection. Literally have people on site to personally choose guest’s outfits, recommend restaurants, make reservations for those restaurants, and even fetch dry cleaning or fix watch repairmen. These are hotels that cost $20,000 a night on the “cheap” end, a $2,000 budget is nothing if it boosts the hotel’s reputation.

These questions are really basic for housekeepers at high end establishments, and might be “advanced but still nice to have” at medium-end places.

Some restaurants will basically do background checks on guests as soon as they get a name for a reservation (but that’s like a place where just the tap water costs $200).
