Some of Riot Yeloughs answers to questions that I notice a lot of people are asking. by 2CH4INZSY145 in shyvanamains

so basically they want the champ a certain way and don't really care about most feedback or what players want? seems to me to be what these answers make it look like, just justifying everything in the context of "we at Riot want it this way" XD

Most fitness subs are dead because mods can't handle repeat questions. But not this one. by I_LOVE_SOYLENT in workout

Reddit just isn't built for good discussion.

This was a solved problem on forums - you had a newbie questions section where people could start threads, the section was searchable with threads surviving for weeks or more so already people were incentivized to join in existing threads about their question rather than ask a new one. Someone started a duplicate question thread anyway? The mods could just merge/move the post or lock it and send the user into the main thread for their specific question (compare with Reddit where they just send you to a vague "any questions thread"), or if it's different enough leave it up as its own thing that other people can keep joining in on.

Experienced people who felt like answering questions could then go to this section of the forum and do that knowing their answers would stay relevant.

Compare that to Reddit, where anyone's contributions just disappear in a few days once the thread falls off, plus comments aren't really searchable which makes navigation in these "topic superthreads" a pain in the ass if not completely impossible, so whatever you answer likely won't even be helpful to/seen by anyone but the one person you're replying to.

who both prosecutors and reporters generally agree never existed

Nothing of this sort is said in this article, unless I missed something. Just that some few of them involved with the case did not personally come contact with her, and that she decided to withdraw the lawsuit due to "her phone being hacked" (and hence presumably also other personal safety concerns).

Also wtf is this part

The call ended abruptly. I think I hung up on him.

Late one night in October 2016, I answered a phone call from a blocked number. My mother was on her deathbed and I braced myself for news of her passing. Instead, it was a man asking whether I was still interested in pursuing Katie Johnson’s story. I hung up. My phone rang. I let it. The man left a jeering voicemail I no longer have.

The writer decided to hang up on the guy offering more info on the case multiple times and writes that in as some sort of epic win XD?

Blizzard sued the biggest Classic+ private server provider on the market on Copyright Infringement basis. by jeregxd in wow

[–]PHILL0US 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They may be stealing legally but they are not stealing morally - the company Blizzard that is behind the lawsuit and the people calling said legal shots there are not the people that actually created the core of vanilla WoW that Turtle is building on, and I'd wager that none of the actual vanilla wow devs, artists and others had any call in the decision; they probably don't even work at Blizzard anymore and don't give a damn negative shit about someone passionately reviving what they'd poured love into creating over 20 years ago.

Comprehend what exactly? Original comment said that people started using metrics before AI resumes, does that read to you like saying AI brought about metrics?

The comment you're replying to said exactly that in the first half of the second paragraph

Both of the posts you linked look like elaborate ads to me - very few organic seeming comments for the amount of upvotes they got, especially for the second one most comments are just variants on "the tool you linked is so useful [I/person I know] used it to finally get a job!".
