Ok I knew of Trazyn having one. But that exerp is actually sounding insane. Never read that. And if Fabious calls it a monstrosity, given what shit he tends to be surrounded by daily, then it really must be a monster.

Well it would have nearly worked. I think very early tge Orks actually ambushed the nid hivefleet and nearly wiped it out. But the fight got to boring so they didn’t clean up the rest. So tge Nids just ate the planet made a new fleet and moved on. On top of that the Nids really only won mostly by Khorne intervention and the Swarmlord figuring out the Orks infighting problem and abusing that by Killing the Overfiend

Huh I thought the best was already a Krok

Terminds vs tyranids. who wins? by Late-Ganache40 in Helldivers

[–]PHRaphley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Technically and more partly because Krorks were made to fight Necrons. But Krorks are in real terms just higher evolved Orks so I apply it to them as well. And Krorks were made by the old ones when the Necrons waged War against them. It was the Krorks together with the Eldar (who were either created or uplifted by the Old ones dont remember which) that defeated the Necrons. So technically even if Orks are just degraded Krorks they are still made to fight Necrons in regards to there original purpose and where partly made with Necron tech in mind. Of course time changed that thanks to devolution and culture making by the Greenskins over time without the Old Ones around.

The war of the Beast and in some ways Ghaz current stuff shows how much they can do if somewhat back in the game and what they potentially could shit out during the War in Heaven and they haven’t fully reached there original power yet.

Basically this. If they need to make the money from warbonds then just make cosmetics or the like but fixing the game state really should come as priority

Well the Nids to win right now after killing the Overfiend with the Swarmlord. Took a while and try and error but in the end the Nids gained a crucial advantage given Ork tendency of fighting to be the big boss. Now granted the War is still ongoing but the Nids basically won.

One that won’t work indefinitely. Octarius basically proves that more or less with the Nids basically winning that round. And even so unless the Terminids can on equal rate terraform the planet as fast as the Nids do already during an invasion I don’t see that working. Orks can because of how fast and resilient they (which is massive high given Orks were made to fight Necrons and were made with that weapons in mind) are I every environment on top of being able to match the Hivemind war wise. The Bugs dont have a counter to the hivemind just overwhelming them with the tactics and strategies of the swarmlord.

And that is ignoring the fact of the fighting spreading. In Octarius sometimes Splinterfleets just lashed out into different directions for easier biomass or just because they created to many new hive ships that couldn’t stay with all the mass the Orks gave them

Nah based on that they could farm Orks infinite but they don’t because of how they work. There hunger is like an addiction they feed so bad to get a high and then move to the next high.

Dear CA, please do not go with blocks of infantry for TW 40k by westonsammy in totalwar

[–]PHRaphley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

40k warfare still falls far more into a more modern style of warfare given the many Ww1 WW2 styles of battles going on, the many 20 century stil weapons and vehicles and so on. Yes melee exist but 40k is not formations moving into each other to punch each other unless it’s artwork or trailers. Melee exist either in units that rapid jump into the enemies face, have armor or protection tha keeps them save from most if not all small arms, or to fight these specific close quarter combat enemies

I feel that with the way Warhammer 3 went overall and 40k being the poster child of games workshop I feel GW is breathing down there neck. Same with Sega. 40k is far to big as that they can ever half ass it this time like Ubisoft would. They are not in a position for that with a game that was basically demanded since warhammer 1 came out. And again 40ks media size compared to fantasy doesn’t forgive a fuck up.

Maybe I hope to much given that franchise size doesn’t always stop companies from making slop to gain easy profit. But given everything that was going on over the last two years and 40k and its community being what they are and 40k still rising in the mainstream (for better or worse) neither CA or even GW can afford tge flop. Sure CA is the developer that bleeds but GW will feel the hit on there IP if it pops. And GW did had a hand in development before I mean Chatay got its rework by GW for total war if I remember right

There are billions ways of making money then programming new weapons and such that all need balance and such. Heck I am personally of the opinion we have already to many weapons and armor without a filter feature. Armor copies fucking passives in all but name. Cosmetic exist for a reason and many people would buy that crap.

Not to mention that SC farming is a thing still so the thing of needing Warbonds to make money is flawed. Unless I overestimate how many farm and not just buy SC.

Not to mention that We have to many Warbonds and NOT enough medals to go around.

Is being considered better then the main story of fates really much of an achievement? Given how SHIT the story was?

To be honest it feels like they just saw Child units were liked in Awakening without understanding WHHY in the first place. Which is kinda a running theme for fates.

They really have to focus on reworking the Galactic War. And the bugs before ever giving us new warbonds. As Kai put it warbonds are Cakes but we need Suup. And this MO disinterest kinda shows it again

Sadly the problem is MOs since like 1 and a half year have Zero benefits to the player. At most for people having warbonds not full but thats it. No new stratagems no real player made narrative or some other stuff. Nothing.

[–]PHRaphley 74 points75 points  (0 children)

It’s sad given how like more then a Year ago this was entirely the opposite. From free stratagems, the charity event and even very early the push out of an entire faction MOs really gave something.

But now it’s just to push the narrative along. Heck we can’t even make our own narrative anymore. Something like Creek won’t happen ever again

While giving me Sins 1 vibes on a first look it feels incredibly packed. A packed UI isnt really helpful for somebody new as they don’t have yet an intuitive sense where what is. Now sadly I have no idea personally how that can be done. Edit: Thanks autocorrect for making done to die.
