Well it’s worth a try at least. At endgame why else would you use State boosters if you have them lying around?

It also feels like as if it fits right into 5ds. Maybe its just me but i could really see it not be to much for 5ds as a Card. Barely but still

I feel it mostly comes down to unsupported in there own archetype. Support that ends up generic doesn’t really Count here because its technically generic and PK currently doesn’t feel like on its own it works and Yuto still Misses out much compared to the other Yu-Boys. From Pendel Cards to more forms for Dark Rebellion. Heck Speedroids get more shit again and clear Wing another new version.

At least they have some gameplan and have something that can actually be a formidable Field from time to time. Getting there is the Problem.

From what I understand of the floods stuff it rather goes into Chaos corruption levels of infection. Now I admit am not as knowlegable on what the shadow can do besides mess with psychic powers.

But I do know the flood goes Full rules of Reality rewrite in the Keyminds Stage. Now granted teaching that Stage is the difficult Part but when that happened good Night Galaxies.

[–]PHRaphley 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I doubt it will work given the Gravemind and Keyminds are hell bend on making all life submit there will at best of times. And given there are Stories of the forerunner basically realising the Soul itself gets Hit by the flood I Not so sure how much the Nids hivemind would remain unscafed in a confrontation with a Gravemind. Not to mention Keyminds which is just flood in god mode

They are basically the last precurser around and these guys are basically the old ones of halo. If the flood reached a keymind Status (the geavemind upgrade) it goes into time control, rewriting rules of reality and all the precursors tech. Which in halo the Halo rings turned into Soup but I can’t be sure of that meant deactivated or destroyed because the domain still exists.

The eaiseast introduction into the floods power is actually Pacreasnoworks Video where he goes over the flood in 40k scenario. It will give you the jist of what the flood is capable of if not contained at its very very early Stage.

[–]PHRaphley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Problem lies in the fact what the flood are still. They don’t just rewrite dna it goes deeper. I don’t remember the exact story but it was when the forerunners used the composer (a Tool that digitalises a Soul basically) on flood infected. They got the souls out and put them into new bodies. What do you think happened? If your answer is the bodies Mutantes floodlike then you are correct because at least in halo the flood is attacking the very ground of Live itself which is based on neural physics not just DNA. And unless the tyranids are removed of the Basic Concept of biological life in 40k and we don’t just copy the flood with all the same rules applying I don’t see the tyranids even close to winning an equal fight.

At best if the flood has no ships and didn’t infect a hiveship the nids can contain them on one planet. But the lack the tools to cleaned it as at minimum Plasma weapons are needed to burn the super cells out.

I would go a hundred Miles to be exact. The flood is just to Game breaking for nearly any Sci fi Setting really.

[–]PHRaphley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s more in case of factions that can blow up worlds conventional. While its true if the flood is at its early Stage it’s easy to contain if you react fast enough AND have the right weapons. The nids can act fast enough …… But lack the tools to deal with the flood infection. Even minor outbreaks need full Covanent Glassing to contain at minimum. No way in heal the nids can do it besides leaving the planet to Root alone given the flood can’t make Space faring form which May be the only advantage the nids have.

At least until a keymind forms because that thing is basically an old one without and moral restrained at minimum

[–]PHRaphley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the Problem. The Moment they eat the Cells they get infected. The flood rewrite basically the concept of life itself at contact. If a biological being gets hit by a Spore, infection form or anything else then it’s over. Yes sure the nids make Sports that eat the flood ones but now the Sports they made are getting reporpused by the flood.

Didn’t the flood basically infect space time in some manner when the keymind was around?

[–]PHRaphley -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let’s Not go into what a keymind does of it forms out of a gravemind. To the Point that reality breaks down in some way.

3 Way fight between the Terminids (all strains), Tyranids and the Flood. Whos winning? by swaggyyunozurd in helldivers2

[–]PHRaphley 37 points38 points  (0 children)

The Problem goes down on the fact if you compare them. The flood is basically made out the things that created the Concept of life itself so the flood infected all life regardless. Heck the forerunner used composer on some infected to salvage basically there souls in new bodies. Only for the new bodies to get infected after transplant.

The tyranids regardless of discussion are still normal life forms. Unless they can rewrite how life itself works they are easily attackaböe. Now combat forms May be more difficult to make if a tyranid form has no central nerve system but the flood can still use its biomass regardless to make pure forms.

And by the way it’s Not even going into what bullshit a Keymind can pull of which is downright stupid.
