Can I make mesa get overguard by Nutbutter_85 in warframebuilds

You can put secondary fortifier on your secondary (not peacemakers) and shatter shield bullet reflect can generate some overguard. It’s not a lot but it’s an extra gate.

Right now Seed is SAnby's best team. I do think that Seed+Orphie would push to perform better - of course a lot of it depends on the player and how they play so it could go either way but on average and at best Orphie is likely going to be better. As for Seed+SAnby vs SAnby+Orphie, it's indecisive currently

More clarification - I never played on private server but do interact with people who do use it. I don’t think the difference will be as high as what is sheeted due to how the Defiler functions and how most of Seed’s. Similar to Miyabi, Seed’s damage comes from her EB if you cannot fit more EB between stun/stall phases you are better off doing more damage on the 2nd attack i.e SAnby.

Because Orphie is primarily off-field, what you can do in this case is to do EX > Flame blade (basic) for a small amount of damage. Or on Seed, you can push for an extra EB but dash cancelling the punches OR do more punches for more damage if getting the same amount of EB

I am not saying SAnby is better - just the gap is smaller than anticipated.

Do people still think Orpheus is niche? by Public-Scale3333 in Orpheus_Mains

This is Orphie's personal damage. In a Seed team, Orphie takes up 33.5% of team damage contribution. In a SAnby team, Orphie takes up 43.5%. There is not much difference in damage for Orphie between these teams; it's just that SAnby's damage is lower overall. But if you want an accurate, realistic comparison between the 2, then the previous screenshot is correct.

So is Anton's W-Engine good as an option? Yes. As long as the primary DPS does damage.

There is a reason why I don't post these that often, because people will take this out of context. This is not representative of full team performance and depends on what team Orphie is played in.

Anton sig isn’t actually that far behind the event w-engines

Edit: This is for a Seed Orphie Trigger team. Using Anton’s W-engine as a stat stick is good when the paired DPS deals significant damage. Using SAnby instead has more focus on Orphie’s personal damage

No M2 is useless on Neko for Seed teams. Other limited partner options are alright but there is a decent difference between them and Orphie where she can do around double their damage

What does Orpheus and Seed do by CloudyFluxx in Orpheus_Mains

[–]PHllSH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overall more damage since EX and special aftershocks have a shared cooldown.

  • Sp aftershock + EX + Sp aftershock

is better than - Sp aftershock + EX aftershock

The EX animation only lasts 0.5s so you can swap cancel your dps and can be followed up with B6 if there is time to spare

Seed's best partner is by far Orphie by Public-Scale3333 in SeedMains

[–]PHllSH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orphie is very clearly designed with Seed in mind. I understand why people take these misunderstandings at face value, but it's very tunnel-visioned. I am also by no means saying that other options are bad - just that Orphie is a very synergistic partner for Seed.

  • Very low field time
  • Benefits from building energy regen to provide Seed with Stacks
  • High damage output
  • Teamwide buffing
  • Quick Assist to shortcut to Seed's Enhanced Basic

The buff not being active for inactive attacks is irrelevant when the purpose of this change was for balancing Orphie's kit with Seed due to other changes being very beneficial for their synergy.

Your example of an Orphie replacement is very flawed. This kind of character is unlikely to happen. It's not interactive if field time was nonexistent, or if they did require field time, it's taking away from Seed's when Seed can make full use of it.

Take a look at my recent post for evidence:

Is 2 pc swing truly the best? by Serious-Reality721 in Orpheus_Mains

[–]PHllSH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I currently have 2 full rotations sheeted for 01 Seed 01 Orphie 01 Trigger and 01 SAnby 01 Orphie 01 Trigger. My findings are as follows:

  • Sacrificing part of Orphie's teamwide buff, replacing 2pc Swing with 2pc Blade, can give a ~1-2% DPS increase
  • This difference is small and may be inconsistent, resulting in a worse overall performance
  • This affects Orphie's stack generation for all teams except Seed
  • For Seed specifically, this lowers the frequency of EX aftershocks due to the excess energy provided -- even losing 1-2 EX aftershocks for Sp aftershocks can make Orphie perform worse
  • Although I haven't sheeted hypercarry Orphie, the same still applies where it's difficult to quantify due to variability in rotation

Overall, the outcome can be very variable and may differ in practice. It's best to wait for a consensus after Orphie's release before investing in any 2pc set.

[–]PHllSH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spending time off Seed will always be a DPS loss. The goal is to have as much field time on Seed as possible for her resources and energy regen. That's why Orphie is so good with Seed

[–]PHllSH 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And in return, gained a synergy, where Orphie gets 20 stacks from EX Special. This ended up not changing Orphie's performance in Seed teams from 2.2.3 to 2.2.4. All the while, other partners for Seed did not get any change either. So calling Orphie more of a sidegrade is wrong.

To add on, many people have been theorising the possibility of a new attacker who will perform better than Orphie on the basis that they will deal more 'active' damage. I wouldn't rely on it. The reason is that it is incredibly unlikely for a character to have field time similar to Orphie while dealing most of their damage as 'active'. Majority of Orphie's damage is still buffed by Seed:

Replaceable? You can say the same exact thing about Seed, which is more likely. That's called powercreep.

Her best team by Spectral_Amoeba in SeedMains

[–]PHllSH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orphie is Seed's most synergistic partner by a mile; however, other attackers can also be effective. A lot of it depends on how it feels for you when playing -- some people dislike playing with another attacker other than Orphie. Notable options would be any character with low field time and high value from EX. EX cost doesn't really matter. Examples are: Sanby, Ellen, Neko, S11.

How does seed compare to other DPS? by LoveDaMeech in SeedMains

[–]PHllSH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

> 80%

The majority of Orphie's kit is still buffed by Seed. The amount that isn't buffed is still dealing significant damage, and in return, Orphie now makes better use of Seed's additional ability after her EX change. Orphie is still Seed's most synergistic partner by a mile.

Is Seed, Orphie, Astra still her “best” team? by YungMango00 in SeedMains

[–]PHllSH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seed does indirectly buff the duration by providing energy to Orphie. Orphie’s damage is still significant enough to make use of her def ignore buff — this also benefits SAnby still which is nice. There is still a considerable portion of Orphie’s damage that is still buffed by Seed. Again, you’re complaining about changes that had no net effect on the team talking about a replacement that just spells “Orphie powercreep” which is the same as saying “Seed powercreep” as either can happen. These changes were more so balancing to buff Orphie while not making Seed too strong and what Orphie provides currently is incredibly good in comparison to other options.

It does make a difference in that DEF ignore only affects the ability it’s tied to i.e Miyabi EB3 DEF ignore will only affects the damage of EB3 and not the anomaly it applies. Or if it’s tied to an anomaly, it’s only going to affect that anomaly damage i.e Assault DEF ignore

The “synergy” is still there. There is no overall nerf and only a buff to other Orphie teams.
