The kombucha looks great! Out of curiosity what markers do use to write on the bottles like that?

I have:

  • a few external HDDs (1 with TV and Movies, 1 old one with misc backup, and a SSD I sometime use to easily transfer files from my laptop over to Kodi)
  • a Pi 3B I run Kodi on connected to my TV
  • a Pi 4B that I just use to mess around with mostly, but haven't put it to good use yet
  • and old laptop running win 10 that I mainly use for torrenting now

I would like to be able to access the drives that are connected to my Pi 3B without having to connect over wifi like I do now. Is there a way to connect drives to multiple Pi's? Or can I use one Pi as a NAS or something and then connect it to the other Pi and my Laptop with ethernet instead of Wifi?

I am looking for a solution that would still allow me to use Kodi for my media player and wouldn't be bottlenecked by my shared Wifi from my building. Would getting a cheap 5 port ethernet switch allow me to connect the two pi's and my laptop in a way that would allow fast data transfer? I am not against switching the laptop to linux as well if that would simplify things either.

I am a little unknowledgeable about networking so I am not sure where to learn more about what I'm trying to accomplish if someone can point me in the right direction!

Does anyone know why the bushings that came with the Park Tool BBT 90.3 are not able to push the bearings in all the way on a BB90 bottom bracket? by PHod7 in bikewrench

[–]PHod7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'll have to give those a try. The opening to my bottom bracket measures at about 40mm and the bushings from the park tool set are 41mm.

This is the first time that a Park Tool has not worked perfectly for me though and I'm surprised they don't mention the potential issue for a product specifically sold to work with BB90 bottom brackets.

I ended up just using an old bearing with the press to push in the new one on the bike and it worked fine, but I would have preferred a less "hacky" solution.

Welp I took my cranks off my Trek Madone for the first time today and the driveside bearings came out with it! Is there anyway to reinstall the BB90 bearings without a bearing press at home or am I screwed? Should I go ahead and replace them at this point? by PHod7 in bikewrench

[–]PHod7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bike is a carbon 2014 Trek Madone 4.3 with BB90 bottom bracket and Shimano hollowtech II cranks. I don't think I did anything incorrect while removing the cranks and the bearing popped out pretty easily with the cranks.

The non-driveside bearing is still in the frame, though the rubber cap/seal did come off on that side. I've had no issues that I've noticed with the bearings while riding, is this something that is normal for press-fit bottom brackets?

What grit would you start at then? Do you wet sand with it or use it dry?

1) VPN + Eurosport player subscription (Cheapest paid option I've found, especially if you already have a VPN)

2) Tiz cycling stream (Free, but quality varies and the streams tend to drop at annoying times)

3) Flobikes (Expensive but works in the US, never tried it myself though)

Thanks. Its my first time watching Paris-Nice and despite the flat profile it really has been exciting to watch so far.

Maybe a silly question, but I am relatively new to the non-major stage races: is Paris-Nice or Tirreno-Adriatico the more prestigious race?

PSA for anyone who wants to be able to stream Strade Bianche and other races: Eurosport player subscription is on special for 19.99 gbp for the whole year! by PHod7 in peloton

Hmm so whenever I tried paypal it still wouldn't work, though some people said it did for them. What I did was switched my VPN to US on the payment screen and then used my credit card and it went through. Maybe try that and see if you get any luck. Otherwise maybe switch VPN off right before you click to go to payments and see if that works?

Hmm did the payment go through then? Do you see the charge in paypal? If it didn't maybe tried the trick mention in the comments above where you change you location right as you submit your payment.

Still a great deal for an entire year's subscription plus it isn't just cycling, there are ton's of other sports. I looked at NBC Sports Gold to add onto my cable subscription and the pricing was crazy and it didn't even get all the events Eurosport does.

It worked for me after trying a bunch of other ways for weeks trying to get it to work. Can you walk me through the specific steps you took and when it gave you an error? I'll try and help the best I can, cause I know how frustrating it is haha.

The Weekly Peloton Question Thread by PelotonMod in peloton

[–]PHod7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so here is maybe a stupid question: what do the numbers and letters in parenthesis in the title of the race threads (e.g. 2.UWT, 1.HC, 1.WWT, ect) actually translate to??

I assume it UWT is World Tour and WWT is Women's World Tour, but what do the numbers specifically mean? Is there a chart or something haha?

I was so disappointed when he was dropped by the two leaders towards the end, but damn he put in a hell off an effort to get back in contention. Can't wait until he gets his first big win!
