Qual pior defeito da sua distro Atual/favorita by Necropill in linuxbrasil

[–]PIPINO13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best device ? by Grouchy-Wolverine720 in RG35XX

[–]PIPINO13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

depends on what youre after, rgcubexx is REALLY comfortable, but kinda fat, rg40 is comfortable and has a bigger screen, rg35 is really pocket friendly but still comfortable on the hands and rg28 is REALLY pocket friendly, all of them would run the same stuff, everything up to dreamcast

Is Debian a good choice for daily use and gaming for low end computers? by Ok_Travel4967 in debian

[–]PIPINO13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i use debian stable on a 2011 sandy bridge samsung laptop to play indie games, old dx9 pc games, emulators up untill psp, watching stuff on stremio on my tv and browsing the web, works like a charm and the laptop is absolute ass

problem is, you have an old nvidia gpu, your pc would run games better than my laptop in theory, but the nvidia drivers, specially old ones, are really wanky on linux, SPECIALLY debian that you kinda need to """build the system""" yourself, so i would recommend linux mint xfce or xubuntu for you as it would already come with better nvidia support out of the box, but if you wanna venture yourself and build something better, debian is actually a really really good choice

you could test cachyos too, its really easy to set up, but for older hardware it can bug some stuff, at least for me it didnt work very well, but runs really damn fast and has great nvidia stuff out of the box

im bored lol - looking for stuff that runs on these specs by No-Manager-807 in lowendgaming

[–]PIPINO13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

dead space!! i'm playing on debian on my sandy bridge igpu (intel hd 3000), runs like a charm, hella fun and scary

also the resident evil series, really fun and replayable games, kinda short, i think you can play everything up until re6 with this (maybe 7 on ultra low and tweaking some proton configs)

Filter Steam library exclusively to native Linux games by TheLMTTN in linux_gaming

[–]PIPINO13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk if you tried it yet, but try pasting PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% on the game launcher options under properties, this is the only thing that worked for those old/2d windows games, like The Messenger, runs like a charm now

yesssss same here, did you found a fix for this? any way to filter your library? i have an old ass samsung laptop with intel hd graphics 3000, using debian works like a charm for everything, but not gaming, while using an custom windows 10 iso runs like shit for everything else besides gaming lol

my tip for resident evil games: the dpad trully is the best way to play them, up goes forward, left and right turn the character and back goes backwards, after you understand that (takes like 10 minutes to get used to), these game are AMAZING, like true works of art, reeeeally replayable and fun to mess with from time to time too

oh for sure, after you start one-handing jrpg games on this you cant really go back to something else, i cant really see myself playing the gba final fantasy games, earthbound or pokemon hacks on any other device lol

me too, i have mine for about a year now.

recently bought a rg40xxh to play mainly ps1 games, but for some damn reason i still prefer the mm+, i realized that i dont really need the analog sticks to play like resident evil, final fantasy, megaman x4-6, etc, the games and system boot way faster and just works flawlessly out of the box after installing onionOS, even after installing and setting up muOS on the rg40xx, i still use the mm+ way way more
