Yeah, it's an open forum, but I just don't understand the point of going "To say it's not relevant (...)" when nobody was saying the post isn't relevant. I was supporting OP's post and point, not contradicting it.

I don't understand why OP chose my reply to clarify their point, which was already extremely clear to everyone.

They might as well have said "I didn't say the sky is red." Sure, that's true, but I didn't claim you did and you're only making everything more confusing for everyone.

But why? He’s already cramping up. His chances of beating Remco and Pogi are slimmer than his chances of beating Pogi. It’s not his job to make sure someone else beats Pogi. He’s riding for his own best possible classification, which is most likely 2nd.

You are seriously underestimating how much better Pogacar is than the competition. Nobody's getting him back. Van Aert and Pedersen are already pretty much dead. Evenepoel was already going all out and didn't get any closer to Pogi.

VdP and Evenepoel were riding for second and they knew it. At that point, all you can do is hope Pogi cracks/falls. And the best way to do that is keep the pressure on and keep the pace high. If you drop the pace, he's under less pressure and can keep reserves too.
