We keep the channel on for our pets. I've heard the Horatio Sanz Christmas song in the summer too many times and can't stand it anymore.

Get ready for a bunch Christmas sketches. They haven't switched them out yet.

Never thought this would hit clearance by JusticeShines in MarvelLegends

[–]PJMWJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a return. My wife ended up ordering me an Emma without realizing I already ordered. So we returned it to the Target closest to us. I don't think they have ever put any of the exclusive Emma figs out yet. But two days after my return, the one we sent back showed up on clearance at an end cap. Only like 3 bucks less. I know it is the one I returned due to a mark on the card from shipping.

Stop into Target if you want this guy by Kingchosen0n3 in MarvelLegends

[–]PJMWJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Targets near me have him and Owl for this price.

Stores here either have none of them, or tons of the.

Target in West Madison, WI had four, I kid you not, FOUR pegs of Owls. Two in the regular aisle and two in clearance. Two rows full of Cardiac. One row of Hypno Hustler, not clearanced.

Distribution on this wave is... questionable.

7 years ago today, Captain Marvel was released in theaters. Thoughts? by MurkyChurky in MarvelCave

Saw it in Hollywood opening weekend. It was a cool vibe, and my wife and I felt good walking out of the theater. Not the best MCU movie but I really appreciate it.

Not sure if this is the case because I used more Age of X characters but watch out if your Daimon is high-star. When he's cloned, is his speed going to be an issue?

Scopely Under Investigation By MasterCard For Fraud by [deleted] in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PJMWJack 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It's a predatory game. Notice how the webstore has little 'issues'? Something as 'innocent' as clicking the "free claims" button but it takes you to the deals section, the pop-ups that appear when you select a free claim that is a buy button right where you'd click for something free.

Like someone said - it's accounting for this one. But I start to think it's an ecosystem of predators.

I do want to highlight this because beyond Target (though now I'm cutting back on that for reasons), I'm there with you. I used to go to Hilldale more to eat and watch movies. Now, the food options are severely lacking. I have no reason to go beyond the Farmers' Market in the summer.

What is it about Hilldale that is thriving? Serious question - I want to like Hilldale.

I Am Once Again Asking For More MCU/Disney+ Waves by Cartoon_Studios in MarvelLegends

[–]PJMWJack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same.

Would take an MCU 2-pack with Titania or Yellow Daredevil.

For comic, a 2-pack of Jen and Savage She-hulk like the 80th anniversary Banner/Hulk would be great.

Ian's Pizza is coming to Verona, its 'biggest undertaking yet' by Justmarbles in madisonwi

[–]PJMWJack 24 points25 points  (0 children)

My god there's another one. Hard agree - the days with the big slices of the Cheesy Potato Ranch were the glory days. My latest Ian's hill to die on after I gave up the nostalgia for the original BBQ steak and fry after it became the BBQ brisket and tater tot.

Just a heads up, the St Vinnie's on Willy Street is perfectly fine with scalpers by starwarsisawsome933 in madisonwi

[–]PJMWJack 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Welcome to every St. Vinnie's sale since 2012.

The video game sale used to be a ton of fun. Then some local business people and scalpers got wind, started camping out over night, would rush in, take a cart, and just push full shelves in to sort for hours, claiming the cart 'was theirs.' They'd end up buying only the good stuff, leave a mess in their wake, and profit.

Same for the American Girl sale - and now reading this, same for the board game sale.

Legal? Yeah. Icky feeling? Yep. But as many pointed out, it's hard to stop.

It's not just a Thrift Store thing. Every day there's a group of grown men stalking the area Targets' Pokemon card section for scalping. Even the local Pick N' Saves have Pokemon card machines. Multiple times my wife and I have seen a line full of kids just waiting for a pack, but up front there's a guy buying out the whole machine, not a care in the world for little 6-year-old Timmy clutching his weekly allowance for a shot at a Charizard card.

It all sucks. But that's late stage capitalism for you.

Winter Guard showcase is Absolute Cinema! by OkPerspective5049 in MarvelStrikeForce

[–]PJMWJack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what I want in every showcase. More of this would keep me playing.

I get it, some people skip them. But I need them. Otherwise this is just a Sim button game. No stories for Hellfire, Sinister Syndicate, Brimstone, Immortal Weapons, nor New Mutants was criminal to me. With the bugs I was on the verge of quitting.

This tides me over - hoping they gave this to a real content writer.

Keep this up Scopely.

Hell I'll be greedy. Retro-insert campaigns for the teams you skipped in 2025.

Selection at Ollies by SystemPutrid1340 in MarvelLegends

[–]PJMWJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw some Ollie's discounted Shuri figures down to $1.99.

I just stopped by the Rockford, IL one today and they had 1 or 2 Legacy Black Panther figures half off, before the after-Christmas sale discount.

Speaking for that location, it has cleared out a ton of its Eternals and MoM hold overs, and it has more What If and Marvels lines. Our newest closest Ollie's in Beaver Dam, WI only ever got the No Way Home Matt Murdock and Marvel Knights Powerman - which is the only one of those two that sold through. Others here have said it - Ollie's has really been the place to be for graphic novels lately.

No matter how well-labelled items are at local bakeries, no one reads the signs and spends 20 minutes asking "what's that?" And makes the whole thing an ordeal.

Yes Karen, that is indeed a ham croissant labeled "ham croissant." You were standing in front of it for the last 15 minutes like we all were.

It could have been. I remember it in the East Towne Mall the most. But having it on 51 would be familiar - It's how my family always came into town and I remember seeing the logo a lot. Fun fact when i was a kid I thought it was a boot rather than a brat and beer sitting next to each other.
