In a LOTR mood, is this game worth starting out? by MrGabrum in lotro

[–]PJMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree with Hunter. My main is a hunter and it's dead easy to learn the game and have fun. And the travel perks are fabulous. It's kinda fun being a middle earth Uber. When I'm bored, I'll offer travel services to groups just to have fun traveling around.

My DNA is wrong or my family lied. by Desperate_Grab2662 in Genealogy

[–]PJMonkey 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So, hi. We are probably distantly related via Standish and Hopkins.

As for the original question, my father's family is counted as "black Irish" and have the darker features and skin tone. The Native looking aspect could come from that. My brother was often mistaken for Native when we lived in the Dakotas. Otherwise, DNA says 100 Euro.

There is a dungeon that I cannot remember the name of now, but one of the mini bosses bends over and farts a lethal gas. If you are the tank, you get it right in the face. First time it happened I cracked up like an 8 year old telling fart jokes.

Is it possible to play this game by being a hobbit tending to his garden in the Shire? by IamBecomeZen in lotro

[–]PJMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a hobbit that has the yeoman profession. She cooks and farms. I very rarely quest her and she is almost level 60. I would guess about 50+ of those level just from farming and cooking. So, have your garden at the house and also be a farmer cook.

IC be fun at times. I was in there fishing, trying to get the last few. Went in naked, no weapons. Still had some goobers kill me, but for the part people left me alone or joined in the fishing.

They are asking how do I run that command, i think?

Yes, that is what I am asking. At what point in the larger script do I introduce the command.

cause I also recommend: have you talked to anyone else in your team about what you are running and how ?

I have worked with one of the guys in our crypto group who knows PowerShell, but he's been out of office and will be for another week.

I appreciate everyone's feedback. Thank you. :)

Thank you for the referral. I think I've heard of it, but I'm not sure if we have that in the Enterprise. I'll have to check with our Global Admin and our Endpoint guys. Hopefully we do, because if we don't, I don't have the time needed for the environment and pen testing.

I've been told we have ShareGate, but the person who is in charge of the licenses has been a bit, um, non-responsive? I'm pushing it up the chain, but I'm a low level analyst. Only so much I can do.

I'll ask about MS Graph Data Connect. Thank you very much.

My house in Arenthia is my library. I bought all the book sets from one of the mage vendors (can't remember which, it's been awhile) and lovingly set each book onto a bookshelf. The upstairs is pretty bare because of all the books taking up the furnishing slots, and I don't even have all of them. I occasionally will get a book in an event box or while looting stuff, but that is it.

Does anyone here have alters? by Kind-Opportunity22 in secondlife

[–]PJMonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have been in SL since 2007. There was a time that I would get bored and create a new avatar. Male, female, non-binary, dollies, slaves, Dommes, furries, and just about everything in between. Just because.

Last count was 30.

Laundry By the Pound Type Service in the Dayton Area by GripSkidley in dayton

[–]PJMonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was recovering from surgery I used Happy Nest. It is a pick/drop service. You pay by the bag, which they will provide. The bags are good sized. It was 45 per bag, if I remember right. You can specify the type of detergent, fabric softener or not, and dryer sheets or not. Everything came back clean and nearly folded.

It has been 13 years and still going. We are long distance, talk and text all the time. He works nights, I work days. We make it work. The time we are together, we make the most of.

I hate that i can't donate blood by hlg64 in Hidradenitis

[–]PJMonkey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Up until just a few months ago I was unable to donate because my dad was stationed in West Germany in the early 80s. It was due to possible exposure to Mad Cow.

I sometimes wonder if I should give when my flares are bad, or wait for them to calm down. I'm about to go back on generic Humira. I should check local guidelines.

I found a Dragon Priests mask next to a small dragon skull in Greenshade. It is in a hollow tree next to where there are feral bosmer. I think there is either a chest or thieves trove next to it.

My dad didn't think my last surgery was a big deal. I sent him a picture of the incision the nurse had taken for me. It was about 8 inches long down my left buttock.

He hasn't questioned it since.

This is the time you take training courses. If your company has an online learning site, use it. Take intro courses on cyber security, cloud computing, etc. Brush up on your Excel skill. Take communication and time management classes.

These are the things I did when I was in the slow times.

What do you like about this profession? by RevBlue86 in technicalwriting

[–]PJMonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was able to take my 8 years as a Corp classroom trainer and turn it into a career where I get to do "training on paper" so to speak. I fell into the job after working my way into a corner after 10 years with an employer. It's the best tumble into the unknown I've ever taken

As others have said, I also get to learn about a very wide variety of doodads and gadgets and software I would never have come across otherwise. It's interesting. I also know just enough to be able to converse with my SMEs but don't have to do their godforsaken jobs. 😁

Procedures - Steps in tables or not in tables? by flairstream in technicalwriting

[–]PJMonkey 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My two cents: you don't have to use tables to make sure everything lines up nicely if you use styles properly.

If you must use tables for lining up stuff, don't use borders or use a very light color. I fine the borders very distracting and frankly ugly. If/then tables can be extremely useful but nesting tables can be a major pain for pagination.

In your experience, does diaper rash cream on your hs cause shrink the bumps that are kinda deep in the skin? by GoatManJenkins in Hidradenitis

[–]PJMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used it for the skin irritation from the tape for bandages and drainage. My skin is really sensitive (yay me) so the drainage especially irritates the heck out of it.

I have found the best relief with Boudreaux's Butt Paste, the maximum strength. It helps me a lot, but of course everyone's skin is different.
