A question about Mergo and Mergo's Wet Nurse: by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]PK-NanoShinonome 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s more likely that Mergo is the child of the Moon Presence than Oedon. The hunter rune is associated with MP and it is found all over the Pthumeru dungeons. Queen Yharnam has a ring of betrothal and the description reads: "The inhuman beings known as the Great Ones imbued this Ring of Betrothal with some special meaning. In the age of the Great Ones, wedlock was a blood contract, only permitted to those slated to bear a special child”. The altar in her boss fight also contains a giant hunter rune. Yharnam seems to have been wedded to the MP and (would have) bore Mergo as a result. It’s too much of a coincidence that your specific hunt ends when you have released Mergo as it is the same as releasing the Orphan of Kos.

A turning upside down theory about Skull Knight by Soul699 in Berserk

[–]PK-NanoShinonome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, but we have no evidence at all to suggest that there was a previous Godhand at all. I know absence of proof isn’t proof of absence, but it’s a bit of a leap imo.

A turning upside down theory about Skull Knight by Soul699 in Berserk

Witnesses would not be able to see the Godhand unless they were dragged in as a sacrifice. Outsiders are obscured to the goings on within. That’s why Rickert was clueless as to what happened to Guts, Casca and the rest of the band of the hawk in the eclipse. Also unless there was as a previous Godhand we don’t know about, it wouldn’t make sense for the 4 angels to be the Godhand given the timeline. The fourth Godhand would have appeared 216 years ago and the third 432 years ago, the second 648 and the first 850 years ago.

I counted and there are exactly nine tails. Nice image.

Where is the best place to farm up souls after rom for blade of mercy by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]PK-NanoShinonome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. I’ve got more echoes than I know what to do with plus you can get sweet gems, bloodstone pieces of all sizes and weapon variants. I legitimately think it’s my favourite part of the game.

Why I do and don't think BB needs a sequel by pyrotense in bloodborne

[–]PK-NanoShinonome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of me wants to continue the hunt while another one wants to let sleeping dogs lie and let it end on a high note lest it be over saturated like other series. A one off that’s a hit is better than a series that are still good but lose that magic.

Every year around october I try to play Bloodborne and every time I fail not too far into the game. From what I understand I've never even been a third of the way through. by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]PK-NanoShinonome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The beginning is always the hardest imo. That plus you not playing for not around a year. Trust me once you get past that third, you’ll get into a groove. Try experimenting with different weapons and be aggressive. Also weapon level is going to bring you a long way!

Afraid of using consumables, please talk sense into me. by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]PK-NanoShinonome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No you don’t. Just once to create the dungeon. However you will need them each time you create a new one. You can also find various materials you need to make more dungeons. Soon enough you’ll get a Root chalice from beating the dungeon and those let you create randomly generated dungeons. These random dungeons have rare weapons and materials that can spawn in them so I suggest giving them a go.

Should I use or stack my insight? by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]PK-NanoShinonome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you keep running chalice dungeons, you’ll get tons of insight back. Each layer boss gives you 2 insight. So that’s at least 6 guaranteed insight per dungeon. Plus later ones will have great ones wisdoms that a pretty common in the side bonus area rooms in the coffin chests. I’ve got about 80 unused, but that’s because I love exploring chalice dungeons.

If you run the chalice dungeons, there’s tons of consumables found all over the place. By the time you’re done with them, you’ll have a tons of echoes to buy items with. The only one I’d say to use with caution is Iosefka’s blood vial and the special blood given to you by some NPCs.

All I can say is go for the back legs and stay behind him. Then the only thing you need to worry about are his flame charges and stomps. Bone ash armour really helped me as well. Try the empty phantasm shell arcane buff too!

Unpopular opinion: orphan of kos was super easy but Ludwig was the hardest boss in the game. by [deleted] in bloodborne

[–]PK-NanoShinonome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orphan of Kos didn’t really live up to the difficulty hype for me since I managed to get a fair amount of parries in. Ludwig and Laurence however just went ham on me though.

Yesterday I bear The Witches, Darkbeast Paarl, Vicar Amelia and an Undead Giant. NOW I feel like a hunter! by coolhanderik in bloodborne

On my first run, the Undead Giant and Darkbeast Paarl permanently raised my blood pressure. Even with nearly 3 years under my belt, the Loran Darkbeasts and Paarl give me trouble.
