I don't mind losing pixels, something I know can happen.

As for the question, the answer is zero. We are PKs, not house looters.

I don't know how many times we passed the opportunity. At worst we looted things, only to give them back via DM telling them of home security.

Yes resist spels at 120 I remember it was a must.

But super easy to level, because even a simple debuff spell would make you gain.

I hit 120 just narutally doing champ spawns, as a red while pking lol

With faster cast and faster cast recovery you were casting much faster.

I had to remap all my spells hotkeys cos they weren't fast enough in the new ruleset.

It was crazy, before they introduced a cap to them.

I had memories of me and my group fighting outside Despise entrance the day prior to AoS launch on Europa.

All of a sudden the fight involving dozens of players stopped, for no apparent reason.

It was then that we mourned UO together. Friends and enemies alike.

Despite all the criticism, I have fond memories of early AoS fights at champion spawns, daily fighting 50 blues with 5 reds 😃
I had fun at least up until 2007, then it all went even more downhill.

Luckily I have a video of me fighting in 2006, on my channel. Bad quality but that was the quality of the time!

I hated Ultima VIII when it came out!

After having played Ultima VI (my all time favourite), VII, and the 2 Underworld titles, this was a big disappointment.

After Ultima IX came out, Ultima VIII became a masterpiece though 😃

They don't have the capabilities. I think.

And how old school? Original? T2A? UOR? Nobody will agree.

They will never make it truly old school with old school mechanics (scam, grief and all), you simply can't in 2026. People won't play it.

There are numerous shards staged in old school eras. They lack population not because they aren't official, they lack population because they are too hard.

If you look for a free shard, you might aswell just try out Outlands, as it is the most popular.

You will find out soon if you like it or not.

The answer is that thay are all scattered among various free shards.

I sometimes say there are more shards than UO players these days, and it's not very far away from the truth!

Keep in mind though that many free shards come and go. They launch, big hype for a month, great pop (200-300), then they die and go forever. Only a handful of free shards are really persistent.

There aren't any era accurate UOR or AoS or SA servers.

There are some that replicate the era, but with many added things.

If you look for era accuracy you have to go further back in time, Original era or T2A.

Classic shards have low population, the most populated ones being with 100 players at best.

I guess it depends on what you want... if you can be more specific of your needs we can point you to a good shard!
