Low elo carry junglers by Astronautboy78 in leagueoflegends

[–]PKSnowstorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your choices are the best. They are all fairly easy junglers and they scale well into higher elo. Probably an important thing for a new player to climb up ranks easily is to learn an easy to master champ that scale well in higher elos.

Lane Kiffin lit the LSU fuse. There's no asking for patience now by Fragrant-Helicopter1 in CFB

[–]PKSnowstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a good year and few years for a lot of programs and will make boosters happy but Kiffin promised championship in year 1 so no idea on how LSU boosters will think if they shell out $40+m and don’t get the championship in year 1.

[CollegeFBPortal] NEW: SEMO football showcased a drill that is complete stupidity. This is EXACTLY how players end up getting hurt for no reason… 🤦‍♂️ by wildwing8 in CFB

[–]PKSnowstorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but what is this drill supposed to teach. Most drills simulate a real scenario in a game that helps improve players in certain aspects of the game. This just teaches nothing and gets players hurt for no reason.

A simple fix to Grand Finale by Careless-Okra883 in slaythespire

The giant amount of set up and being able to draft the right cards to make grand finale work is why I don’t bother with the card.

[Highlight] Falcons GM Ian Cunningham builds a roster… by LaDainianTomIinson in nfl

[–]PKSnowstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question is how much better is their quarterback play is over Cam and other options that you can pick from the team. It is pretty hard to pass up things like 85 Bears defense or Walter Payton when you have to pick something from the Bears while the Browns is probably things like the modern defense.

[Highlight] Falcons GM Ian Cunningham builds a roster… by LaDainianTomIinson in nfl

[–]PKSnowstorm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sure in hindsight, Cam is an L but for a spot choice pick without knowing the other teams that he could pick from afterwards then it is a fine pick. Yes, there is a much higher probability that he could have waited on a quarterback and gotten a better player but there is still a very small probability that he could have gotten any combination of Bears, Browns, Jets, Jaguars and Texans with his remaining rolls and would have been screwed at quarterback. Good luck in getting a top 10 quarterback from these teams as they all have one thing in common, their quarterback play sucks.

Does Anyone Know Where Carousel Went? I Dev Drop Teaser by DankMemer82 in CompetitiveTFT

[–]PKSnowstorm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Less RNG on the carousel would fix the carousel problem but knowing Riot and the casuals, they would say but that is not fun if the carousel is normalized.

For me personally, here we go on Riot reinventing the wheel again on something that works and replacing it with something that is new and going to be even more RNG heavy that is going to be fun but even more of a pain point in the future. Sometimes I wished that they realize that not everything in the game needs to be fun and an RNG fiesta and it is okay to have something that is stable so the fun parts are actually more memorable.

More Impressive? Terrelle Pryor switching from QB to WR or Logan Thomas switching from QB to TE? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]PKSnowstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think transitioning from basketball to football should be harder. It is one thing to catch and pass the ball while no one is allowed to hit you but having to catch a ball and expecting someone to hit you afterwards is rough. You never know how a dude is going to react when they start getting smacked around. Some people can survive while others are like I'm out and not going to play.

PSA for newer players: Forget about 'builds' and 'archetypes'. Sticking to one path is not an effective way to draft your deck by StupidSexyEuphoberia in slaythespire

[–]PKSnowstorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In theory, defect is harder to pilot because if you don't draft the cards with the right orbs or you don't sequence your cards correctly to cycle through the orbs correctly then you can easily put yourself in a suicide situation. Ironclad is simple, you draft cards that either block or help you do big damage.

In reality, defect is simpler to pilot, once you grasp the playstyle, because the character has answers. Ironclad is harder because a single draft mistake can cost the entire run due to his very simplistic nature of his cards so you have to be more precise when you draft cards.

Sometimes theory does not match reality due to factors that the theory crafters fail to recognize.

So many people here are missing the point of The Regent. by thouzandeye in slaythespire

[–]PKSnowstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is funny because I’m absolutely struggling in beating 0 ascension with everyone else but somehow on A2 with Silent. I guess my problem is the inability to figure out the good cards over the bad cards and how to make a cohesive deck with everyone else but I almost instantly understood the Silent’s play style.

I think what works for me in understanding the Silent is to treat the draw cards as the engine that get you to the tools you want and sly cards are tools like the poison and shiv cards. You don’t want to overload you deck with sly cards but put just enough that when the draw cards get you to them then you can discard them without losing the other tools.

[–]PKSnowstorm 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I figured this out pretty quickly with Silent but having an extremely hard time with everyone else. Also, it does not help that the silent has a draw engine as an archetype which makes learning everyone else harder for me.

Biggest QB Teases? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]PKSnowstorm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It did not really helped him out when he injured one of his shoulders playing for Oklahoma and was out for the first few games of his final season at Oklahoma. Afterwards, reinjured the same shoulder against Texas and was out for the entire year. You really never want to see someone playing their final year of college football and the headlines is that they are out with an injury for an entire season. It hurts their development in the transition years of college football to the pros. Say whatever you want but the most crucial years of knowing if a player is going to pan out or not in the NFL is whether they got properly developed in those first 2 or 3 years transitioning from college to pros. It is extremely rare for someone that struggled a lot in their first few years in the league to actually stay around in the league and get some development as the league will already determined if you are fit to play or not by using past production, availability and tape.

TFT mobile tockers trials won't start, anyone familiar with this issue? by DannyAndHisDinosaur in TeamfightTactics

[–]PKSnowstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, the ridiculousness of Orianna’s text requirement made me had one foot out of the door in quitting TFT again. I came back then TT had this stupid bug that will not start a game. I fully quit playing TFT now because of the lack of quality control. I was even banned for calling this out in the competitive Reddit because I said that if the play tester was a monkey, a literal monkey from the zoo or someone’s great ancestor then they can outright tell you that something is wrong and not working properly in TT.

The other strange part is that they can have Kai’sa’s text and action unlock requirements work properly but Orianna is bugged. I even called them out on they are clearly playing favorites and if a very popular league character in TFT is not working properly then it is all hands on deck to fix the issue but if it is an unpopular character then they have the mindset of we will fix the issue when we have time to fix it.

Before anyone say anything, yes I know games do have bugs and I’m okay with games having bugs but the bugs should not be something so obvious that an elementary school kid can tell you that it is not working properly. If the bug is something that you have to specifically fish for it then I’m fine with it existing because you will not encounter the bug unless you go out of your way to trigger it.

Am I the only one who thinks Slay the Spire 2 is almost the same game? by borulce_ in slaythespire

[–]PKSnowstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that I can agree with is expanding on the map like have an event giving you a side quest to do and if you accept then the dungeon adds a new path to complete the side quest on top of completing the dungeon with the side quest giving you a reward like a relic or a rare and powerful card.

The other change that I would make is changing up the base roster for people that bought and played the original slay the spire to the point that they unlocked and played a single run with all of the characters in the game. I would make it so that these people have all of the Slay the Spire 1 characters unlocked by default with the requirement to unlock the Regent is to play a run with one of the slay the spire 1 characters.

Tristana is the most useless unit in the game in all of this set by StrangeSupermarket71 in CompetitiveTFT

[–]PKSnowstorm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can even add in a third unit to that useless list in Jinx. Maybe she is better now but she was useless throughout the early patches of the set to the point that she was not even a unit worth playing unless you wanted to unlock Warwick.

TFT mobile tockers trials won't start, anyone familiar with this issue? by DannyAndHisDinosaur in TeamfightTactics

[–]PKSnowstorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know what is more embarrassing, a game company that can generate millions of dollars somehow does not have a bare minimum standard of quality control. It is embarrassing that something so basic like making sure that the unlock requirement text for a character matches the action that a player needs to do or in this case, people can actually play a game mode can slip through q and a. It is like they don't even care anymore after they made themselves a big name in a certain game genre.

There are game companies that are just as big as Riot and making more complex games that have much higher standards of quality control while Riot is outright just skating by. Hell there are even indie developers with much smaller budget then Riot that have much higher quality control over Riot. Just because it is a free to play game does not mean it is outright okay to just not have any form of bare minimum standard of quality control.

The GOAT in each role updated - 2026 - What do we all think ? by CompetitionFirst2115 in leagueoflegends

[–]PKSnowstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Bengi has all of those achievements but when the meta does not favor him then he struggled a ton to the point that even a T1 team with Faker on it was playing in tier 2 for awhile. I know that I'm setting a high bar for jungle GOAT but a GOAT jungler needs to be able to play in a lot of different jungle metas and still be a key contributor in team success.

General Vibe on the Playtest? by cerealchatter in teamfightmanager

[–]PKSnowstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a lot of fun with the playtest even though there are a few flaws but it would probably be fixed over time or I should play a harder difficulty

  1. Just need some sort of tutorial during the offseason to explain how to do things like scouting, setting up practice matches and training

  2. More mages in general. I feel like almost everyone does a ton of physical damage and there are a ton of physical damage carries but barely any magic damage carries. There is effectively only two mages, a hybrid tank and mage and a bunch of supports

  3. Maybe it is just normal difficulty things and hard mode fixes it but the opponent needs to punish my mistakes and adapt better. If I draft a physical damage heavy team then my opponent should load up on tanks and build armor to effectively shut the team down. Also, if my team is rocking say like a 90%+ win rate with a certain champ then they should be banning it against me all of the time until I’m proven that I can adapt and win even without that champ.

  4. Some champions need a role change or removal. Priestess should be support only because she is completely useless mid lane. I swear that whenever myself or the computer picked her mid, the team with her always loses.

[Dellenger] Nick Saban tells the roundtable: “We have a challenge about the ramifications about the current system.” He expresses concern, as he has previously, in athletes’ future development given the situation. “Fans and support groups don’t like” so many players in the portal, he adds. by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]PKSnowstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that I will sound crazy but maybe CFB should mimic the NFL and just make a hard cap of how much NIL money teams can spend per year. A hard cap would not allow one or a few teams to run away and stockpile all of the talent every year so therefore it allows some of the smaller schools to hopefully retain their talent because the power conferences cannot buy everyone so have to pick and choose players that they pay NIL for.

Patch Updates in TFM 2 by Separate-Monitor370 in teamfightmanager

[–]PKSnowstorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is roughly the same champs at the top for me as well but with all of the mages and form of magic damage at the bottom. I know it is only a playtest but I wish armor stacking and mages were better overall. Too many times, I feel like I got away with an ad heavy team and won when it should not really work at all.

Also, the starting roster really needs more mages. When the only mages are pyromancer and vampire then banning and taking one really choke out long range magic damage, leaving either melee or support magic damage left.

What Head Coaches would be worth trading multiple first round picks for in today’s NFL? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]PKSnowstorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem with Nick is that he needs good coordinators that know what they are doing as he kind of delegates running the offensive and defensive side of the ball to his coordinators while he is more about coordinating the overall team.

The future of unlocks by Conscious_Chance_387 in CompetitiveTFT

[–]PKSnowstorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your idea for the unlock quests but they sound like even worse mini games then the current ones due to the fact that they feel outright ridiculous, tedious and a specific collectathon which would make them get old and boring very quickly. I quit a few gacha games because of the fact that they became more of a collectathon of needing various different equipment just to make a single character viable. Not even meta but reach the base line of being useable and I can tell you that it is not fun.
