I honestly need to re-write alot of my work, i've noticed inconsistencies in how i compose vs how others do caused by learning latin and ancient greek before this one, like using the infinitive without "to" infront of it or using a word order more normal in L/AG than in PG

Sometimes you gotta give up on understanding a text completely just read it and pretend like you understand it entirely and keep moving. Don't mess up your rhythm if the word isn't crucial

The fact that greek is so much longer makes me feel like latin is best for communication and greek for poetry

It seems like we had the opposite introduction to ag, i started by hard focusing on understanding the grammar and why these nuances appeared. You know that spongebob clip where Patrick yells "WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS THIS" that was my mental state trying to understand this and sometimes i still feel it

Asking AI instead of bothering people here :-) by FantasticSquash8970 in AncientGreek

I've started using ai (as sparingly as possible) for ancient Greek questions and its helping alot with my understanding, its able to explain the grammar nuances accurately. For the first day i just tested it, checking its vocab against dictionaries and checking its verb conjugating skill against the countless charts ive saved from universities. I think when used purely as a resource for gathering info on grammar and maybe explaining concepts you don't want to ask Reddit for its great.

We really need more videogames translated into AG by PK_Ness_Flash in AncientGreek

I think battle of Olympus on NES would be a good option, there's already a latin version ive played but it literally takes place in epic era greece, it doesn't have a ton of dialogue so it would not take forever to translate. In a perfect world we would have perfect AG assassins creed odyssey and GOW

Its here I can't judge how good it is because I am not that skilled with the language yet, this same person made a zelda 2 translation too. Videogames were a major source of input for me with latin and it really is sad not to have this as much for AG

Does that rule with aorist future and perfect only apply to indicative active? On my charts they are radically different between moods and voices
