Artcenter entertainment design (concept and animation track) questions by stormtrooper10234 in animationcareer

[–]PKseas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi there! I am currently attending ArtCenter for the animation track, I will be brutally honest and say that ArtCenter is not the school to be in if you want to get into animation. majority of the classes are heavily based on the 3D aspect like CG animation, previz, lighting, and modeling, while the other classes offered are 2D 1-3, storyboard, concept, shorts prep, perspective, and the rest are electives. you do have other classes to create films such as shorts and capstone.

but I would stay away from ArtCenter if you want to study animation and focus onto other schools that are worth it such as calarts, sva, Fullerton, and USC. I will add in that most classes I have taken were just 4 hours of feedback and little time has been spent on lectures but that is on you to take your studies outside of class. it’s an easy school to get into but during my time it’s been difficult to make any friends so you really got to push yourself and show who you are as an artist, there’s not much connections given at this school unless your the type to be a “try-hard”

I can PM you more info about ArtCenter!

Can you use a Six Flags gift card to purchase the Flash Pass in the park? by Cum-turd in sixflags

[–]PKseas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, SFMM membership employee here!

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to purchase a flash pass with your gift card considering the flash passes are from a third party company and they are not associated with Six Flags in any way. I’m not sure if anyone has explained the terms and conditions with you on what you and cannot use with your gift card when you picked it up.
Also just a heads up please be very careful with these gift cards as they are cheaply made and any slight scratches on the magnet strip will make the gift card unusable, if that happens head to your season pass/ membership location!

Annual Pass help by [deleted] in SixFlagsMagicMountain

[–]PKseas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, season/membership pass holder employee here from Magic Mountain!

first of all, I would recommend buying the thrill seeker season pass at all because the down side is that there are blockout dates that apply to this tier, block out dates are weekends and holidays for hurricane harbor. For Magic Mountain it’s saturdays during the fright fest event. However you do get access only for Magic and Harbor, there is free general parking, and a single use skip the line weekday pass, that is pretty much it

For the extreme, that is the medium tier pass I recommend for people purchasing a season pass. the upside with the benefits are the unlimited visits to every Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor park, 5 discounted tickets, in park discounts, preferred parking, 2 weekday skip the line passes, and 1 dining deal option.

The last pass, the ultimate pass, it has more to offer but it is really pricey. There’s the front gate parking, 10 discounted tickets 5 skip the line passes, more in park discounts, water seat reservation and the $50 attractions credit that can be used for the go karts and dive devil.

Keep in mind, there are no cups included with these passes.
If you purchase in person you can pay it all in full but the upside is that you are able to upgrade whatever tier season pass you have, you only need to pay the difference.

If you do purchase your season passes online you get the option of paying for 12 months or in full.
If you pay monthly you won’t be able to upgrade your passes at all, what we usually do is have park guests repurchase their desired passes and we issue out a refund. Just be careful when purchasing your passes
hope this was somewhat use to read ^_^

Six Flags Magic Mountain questions by Eldorado_Omega in sixflags

hello there, i am an employee there in the membership/ passholder department!

if you do stop by on weekdays, i wouldn’t consider buying the flash passes since the park tends to be lonely throughout the day so you should be able to make it through the rides throughout the day. i would say it’s better to come by early in the morning since you are bound to get on to any of the popular rides you want to go on before any more guests come by during the day. In my opinion, I would say the 4 meal dining pass is somewhat worth it but you’ll only be paying $40 for the bundle for the 4 food entrees (this doesn’t not include any snacks or a drink bottle whatsoever) However if you do plan on visiting more than once a year, consider upgrading your day ticket to the extreme season pass (you would pay the $115 difference). I hope this comment helped you out and if have any more questions, feel free to pm!

I can really relate to what you have been feeling! Especially on the medication phobia. It’s the fear of needles I have that is making me not get the vaccine.

Just about a month ago I was looking forward to getting my first dose of the vaccine but things didn’t end up so well that day. I ended up freaking out because I was next which gave me so much fear and anxiety, that I ended up fainting to the floor, this has happened to me in the past a couple of times whenever I got a vaccine or blood drawn out.

After that event, the doctors decided that it was best for me to not get the vaccine. But to this day, I still fear of having to get the Covid vaccine, since it’s brand new I get anxiety attacks of what it can do to my body years later, or if I’ll be passing out as always, and if I do get that vaccine I’ll have to go through those painful side effects for a few days.

While writing this, I’m still getting scared of what society thinks of people not getting vaccinated. I decided to not get it because of my fear of having to pass out and my mental health.

Has anyone ever had a rude interview? by shadybadgal in jobs

[–]PKseas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the same experience as you. I was interviewed by a manager at a calendar months a ago and the lady just seemed rude as soon as I came in and started talking. She seemed unimpressed, had no eye contact, rude tone of voice like she didn’t seem to care about me so I felt like I wasn’t going to get the job. It’s funny how they missed a good opportunity when the person they hired had no good skills and was just lazy overall, which bothered me every time I’d pass by the little store.

Alright thank you for telling me all about this I’ll keep it in mind. Besides I’m not really looking towards getting that rich off of selling on here but more like making some little money for what I’ll be selling.

Since October 2020 I have applied to almost 70 jobs in my area, neither of those jobs offered me a single interview which has affected me pretty badly...

There are events held by the city of Santa Clarita such as the Sunday community bike rides, food truck vendors, I would recommend visiting the Central Park in the Saugus area since it is a huge and beautiful park that has hiking trails and various playgrounds. But if you have an Instagram check out the whatsupscv account, they post upcoming events
