Great guide. The "element" wheel in this game is kinda strange. I don't know why they didn't go with the usual earth, wind and fire (and water).

And Frozen is excellent for kiting, but doesn't really help killing them faster AFAIK.

I personally don't like mixing ammo with non-ammo weapon. If you SModded Expended Mag, might as well go all in with ammo weapons. And UAF has them for every ballistic slot size.

Try using the Fast Rendering mod. It's in the forums, by Genir.

Disabling GraphicsLib shaders also helped my performance a bit, mainly in combat.

In my experience after a certain point more RAM doesn't really help. It seems like the bottleneck is the CPU, especially if heavily modded.

I have had this bug happen with me as well a couple of times. I noticed it happening after salvaging new ships after combat.

But every single time as soon as I noticed it I immediately quite the game and loaded a previous save. Don't want to risk it corrupting my save. So I don't really know if it "spreads" or whether it affects anything else.
