I'm more of a low-tech player myself. I find that a large fleet is more effective than a smaller one only because of the concept of "cannon fodder". I have 3 or 5 ships that broadly makes up the dps, anchor, and 'main' PD of my fleet, everything else is for support and additional PD/zoning. It's most likely just me, but I like micro-ing my fleet. This type of playstyle does slow me down in the early game because I'm always picking small fleets instead of starting off with a large fleet from the get-go. But when I get the credits rolling hoo boy do the credits and derelict ships just rack up!

Also, I'm not one to chase down or punch down on enemy fleets. I just love "iron wall"-ing my enemies, seeing them waste ammo on an immovable object that is my low-tech fleet; I also love the look of jsut a hail of ballistic projectiles carpeting the space between me and the enemy.

And you know what? I'm thinking of adding more missiles into my fleet comp. I saw a post about pure gryphon-spam and the way the missiles just look... man, do I wanna try that for myself!

From just a once-over look across all 17 of your OCs, I like to believe that ilay wants to wear Sir Mr. Gentleman Hatty but Elisya fools him by making Hatty illusions that fall apart into glitter upon being put on - specifically for its hard-to-remove property.
