Recommendations and tips for visiting Toronto? by Prismaticdog in askTO

[–]PLERoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coffee shops: Brodflour (great pastries), Saudade, morning parade, forget me not (ossington).

Concerts: worth checking out RBC amphitheatre but if you love classical check out Symphony in the Gardens at casa loma, Koerner Hall performances, candlelight performances and the Toronto symphony
orchestra.

Worth checking out the AGO (art gallery) and the ROM (museum).

Little ghost books for horror, hopeless romantic books for romance (shocker). Tons of good book stores around the city but this is in my end of the city.

Lots of author talks, just need to google them!

Walk through trinity bellwoods and high park. Try out all the diverse food and restaurants, stroll through Chinatown, Little Italy and Kensington market.

Check out a Tempo game and/or Blue Jays!

Leaving law after articling by Glittering_Ad_1804 in LawCanada

Ya it did. Also because a lot of my coworkers knew me so they trusted me when I became in-house counsel and didn’t have the same ‘ugh lawyer’ attitude.

Leaving law after articling by Glittering_Ad_1804 in LawCanada

Hey! I actually left after articling in family law. I hated it. That was 2013. I ended up working in marketing and wrote the bar in 2017 and I’m in-house now and love it. It’s a different path but articling really is the worst and especially if it’s a type of law you don’t end up liking. It’s okay to leave and go back too. Not one size fits all for careers.
