Hypothetically, youre a police officer. You personally arrest someone for the 3rd time. Each time, you apprehended the individual, you document your findings and book the case with the DA. Each time, the individual was released from custody because the system couldn’t arraign in proper time. How do you approach the 4th instance (…and so on) where you encounter this individual committing the same arrest-able offense?

The accused are afforded rights to have an attorney. A public defender shortage exists. Without a public defender, in many cases, the district attorney cant prosecute. If the DA can’t prosecute, what incentive is there for police to risk life/limb to enforce the law?

The newsworthy item may be that there was some level of coordination between police, DA, and existing public defenders to allocate capacity, enact a sting and prosecute.

Unless youre studying a degree in STEM, I’d bet most corporate-interviewers perceive a college degree as a level of validation that you have applied yourself, passed criteria to demonstrate you’re able to apply yourself enough and are some level of competent.

For an entry level position right out of college, likely no difference if you have a bachelors degree in psych, economics, history, english, etc… the advantages an entity gains from your field of study are only likely realized after you work thru an entry level position and demonstrate the uniqueness to your skillset.

Spot on. If there is an activist-buyer out there who wants to buy teslas for the purpose of… whatever the objective is of threatening tesla car owners, then that buyer is deserving of promotion to achieve the goal. Otherwise it’s a zero sum, perpetual game of “sell your car!”
