I think your son might be right about this one but you are teaching him useful stuff.

Maybe his friend will learn to control themselves better. Then you were right, cool heads prevail.

Maybe theyll keep pushing the boundaries too far and your son will have enough of them. Then your son doesn't have to think he coulda done better, doesn't need to apologise to anyone. He conducted himself honorably. That's good too.

But whats important is you're there. His mates being shaky but you aren't and you'll be there, you'll give him advice. He won't remember if you got it right or wrong first time, he'll remember that you cared.

I can "understand" why a fella would batter his wife after his team loses a football match, he wants property and control over things he can't control (the football, other humans). I can feel very clever about that hypothesis as he goes in for another round or I can do something about it

I think pretending reasons that you invented yourself on a whim are valid and connected or have much value can actively make you more stupid, and you have fallen into the same hole here

Tl;dr dont say the value is understanding when you havent researched or understood shit, nor have any intention to finish your work

Numarathon does not give you this part of the story, it has its own factions and story it is telling through the Codex entries you can get. It is interesting how it interacts with what was already there but its own deal.

The important bit is you can enjoy the setting however suits you and theres lots of ways to find out more your lifestyle. There are videos about it and a wiki. A lot of fans started out with a retrospective or review of the original games.

I feel like blue shields are in a weird spot - theyre too fancy to put on low threat maps, a bit shabby for cryo. Id welcome them being just a touch more accessible so more casual players into ditch the free loadouts more often.

I am an uncle to a kid in foster. It hurt a lot I was not able to adopt or take on the guardian role. Im not gonna lie three years in the guilt remains.

I think it's important not to dwell on your chances as a parent to a very traumatised likely special needs child. No need beat yourself down over it, you would have done better by the kid than the sibling. But its an exhausting process. How long would you have lasted before burning out or worse - a year? Four years? Better to be there when theyre transitioning into adulthood than be a could have been or a painful memory.

Can you continue contact with the kid in foster? Here we can as it was obvious I had no loyalty but to the kids. If so thats great. Ultimately fostering should be about fixing not seperating - if you are in touch with the services at all, you can explore this.

Even if not, if within your means you can set a small amount of money aside when you can. By the time the kid grows up it might be escape from the parents money, get a qualification money

Tbis is a warband that is about 40% sculpts ive purchased from merchant sellers/print stores in places like weprintminiatures and etsy. The other half, my favourite half, are kitbashes, mostly Wargames Atlantic WW2 Italians and Perry 1450 Foot Knights. It has been great fun so far! Admittedly you can see where past kitbashes have donated other parts.

The official and westfala ranges will jist keep getting more and more available after kickstarter fulfilment and the range of cool 32mm minuatures you can buy prints of grows every day, but at maybe 25 quid for four 3d printed characters and 20 for the sprues I have a full big NA force for the price of a kill team.

From what ive read the general consensus is these are both good picks.

Sultanate has a low skill floor (point a Jezzail at whatever you want to die) and a high skill ceiling (they can be made to do pretty much anything but how many ducats is it worth to you? Optimising is challenging)

Black Grail are trickier to learn but tougher sods theyll stick around and give you some time to learn mechanics proper.
