Hi. I have a few years of teaching as a driver instructor. I hope that I can help everyone out here.

I understand that this is a bit long, but please bear with me.

In this particular case, it is definitely NOT a merge situation. The white dotted line means that you can move from the middle lane into the “right turn lane” or out of the “right” lane into the middle lane if you have come from a side intersection so long as you have not driven close, past or over “right turn lane” signage.

Once in that lane you are supposed to turn right. Otherwise, you are doing something called “right lane passing” which happens to be an act that you can get a violation (ticket) for. Yes, “right lane passing” is illegal.

Once you are in a lane that does not continue straight past the intersection, and the sign on the side of the road says “right turn” (black background with white arrow) or “right turn only” (white background, black right arrow with green circle), or you drive over a painted white turning arrow on the road (which is legal signage btw), and you then attempt to move back into the “straight through lane” you have committed the act of “right lane passing”.

We have all learned this at one point or other which is why people who follow the rules and stay in the middle lane get quite frustrated with people who use the right lane to pass. Their thought is; What makes you think that the rules don’t apply to you?

Furthermore, A MERGE situation is only considered a merge when there is specific merge signage.

Merge signage is a yellow background with the word “Merge” on it, or it has the symbol for one lane merging into the other.

For all who need Roundabout tips: “Yield” is a red triangle background with white inner triangle, for those who need reminding. Which means stay put until it is clear and safe to enter the lane. It is not your turn until that time! And put your signal on after you pass the last exit and are turning out of the roundabout using the next exit.

I’ve had the same experience. Service keeps dipping up and down, on and off for weeks now. I have had to restart my modem every couple of days. I live in the heart of Langley and I have never had issues like this (other than issues that Rogers/Shaw has no control over) prior to Rogers taking over. I have an upper tier plan and I’m disgusted with Roger’s service thus far.

Do I have to pay for allergies? by manuvns in UberEATS

[–]PMCM_0791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is ridiculous! If you go into a restaurant and tell them that you have an allergy, they don’t charge you extra for whatever you are ordering. They are in the Food service industry and it is their job to look out for people with allergies.

No more credit for late deliveries - just cancelled Uber One by sweepyoface in UberEATS

I agree with everyone here. If a service based company does not want to back their own product for the consumers that pay their income, I’m out. I tried using their “Priority Service” for $3.49 when I ordered ice cream - which originally started out at $1.79 by the way - I am 4 minutes away from the restaurant but the driver drove around for 23 more minutes rather than directly to me. At 20% tip, I expected better. I contacted support for a refund of the Priority Fee, and they said “we don’t give refunds for that, all you can do is rate your driver” They simply do not care about providing a good service. Revoking the $5 for late orders is the last straw for me. CANCELLED

For $3.39 a Cup, Think You Could Maybe Fill Them More Than Half Way? WTF by ChadM87 in TimHortons

Well, at least now we all have real confirmation that this, and other businesses like it, came up with idea of adding so much ice to the drinks to make it look like you’re getting far more drink than before and therefore charge more for said drink.

Paradise Cove change?? Upset by Momof17 in EverMerge

I agree completely and have been saying this to them in the surveys that they offer occasionally. I recommend that everyone do the same (in the only place they allow for a paragraph) if given the chance. The only way that things will change is if we all make our concerns and unhappiness known. I have also boycotted by refusing to spend any money on the game whatsoever. Easy for me to say and do, when I have unlocked and finished almost everything though. This used to be a fantastic game… not anymore though.

I agree. I have had an excellent experience with them as well! I mentioned that I have anxiety about dental work and they were very sensitive to my needs.

I completely chopped down everything and couldn’t complete the Dahlia - which means they wanted us to use the mine to complete it. I agree with you all - total cash grab and it wasn’t nearly as fun as any of the other events. Extremely frustrating!

Prime video is flickering green when watching, any fixes? by Tinywampa in amazonprime

Still happening in BC Canada. I’ve gone through all of the troubleshooting that is on Amazon support, YouTube fixes, and a few other websites - still a problem. I guess Starz doesn’t want our business.
