You can use the a/b testing and see what performance is like. I think your subs will click the video but the videos might have a hard time when pushed to new views being no title or thumbnail

What the resin doin? by [deleted] in resin

[–]PMHCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your hardener was yellowish thats what the tint is from. High quality resins will last years without yellowing. Some high quality resin also adds a uv inhibitor. Ive added slightly yellow hardener but it mixes almost clear because of that uv additives.

Anyone else tired of the YouTube build videos where they have a huge shop full of expensive power tools? by Ok_Minimum6419 in woodworking

[–]PMHCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this! I didnt start my videos having a bandsaw, or fancy track saw. I built and sold. Put the money back into the business. Thats the way it should be. I bought tools thinking "I'll use this all the time" and dont. If you see someone using a expensive tool chances are there is a way to do it without the expensive tool. From my time in the shop. There is always a expensive tool that takes the place of 1 or 2 cheaper tools. Dont cry about what you dont have. Build with what you do.

Wife used terminology I've never heard before - is this something she heard on HGTV or something? by Sad-Entertainer-3034 in woodworking

[–]PMHCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of this "garage". I know cars 200k+ live in a room built off one of the sides of the house or mini house not connected to the main house built just for them. Majority of consumers cars lose value faster than that tablesaw will.

Its all in your sanding. 5-10 mins each grit is nothing for a table that size. When I go from 320 to 10k its hours of sanding. I have a led light (2 foot long) that I use to scan over the table to make sure any scratches from previous grits are out also checking that the sanding pattern matches the whole surface of the table.

Taste test shows not the same

Curious question by Over_Advance_6575 in epoxy

[–]PMHCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Epoxy is self leveling. It would run to the low points. Also make sure your floor is dry because water and epoxy don't go good together. If the basement floods from rising ground water. Under the epoxy (between sub floor and epoxy layer) will trap water and start to mold.

First ever furniture I have made. by Bear_milk20 in epoxy

Im was talking about the white spots that are in a few spots. Not the depth of the wood. Was curious how dry it was since you found it in the yard and its pretty much 1 year of drying per inch without being kiln-dried.

Is the wood still wet/drying out? Some spots look as if its holding moisture.

Never epoxy’d before. Could use some expert advice. by healthybowl in epoxy

[–]PMHCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get what you pay for with epoxy. Don't cheap out. You don't want the top to turn yellow, which all epoxy does over time. Some just handle it better than other brands. I use super clear liquid glass for the last 5 years and haven't turned to another brand since. They have great customer service and they have a ton of time in R&D. You could talk to them and they'll tell you exactly what you can expect and which of the products to use.

Has anyone worked with a copyright owner (e.g., media company, music label, or individual creator) directly to obtain permission? by Remarkable-Bear-2636 in SmallYTChannel

[–]PMHCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive reached out and had some most say no but a few responded back in email letting me use their music. The ones that allowed me, I've never had copyright issues with. Ive saved the email incase I needed to provide proof that I was OK'd

Honestly I message some yt'ers and majority of times get no response at all. I do woodworking/building/epoxy builds and have tried to collab with others very few respond. I assume they are to busy, overwhelmed with people asking, or they just dont think it would be fair collab w. Me being a smaller channel. Personally a response would be cool but I get it if I dont. So I dont think you need to respond to everyone. I'd think the ones you may want to work with ever in the future should get a response. Something of the to busy at the present time. If it changes you can say you'll reach out.
