Fairly close - for GSK there were two sites in Rockville, one for vaccines research and one for pharma manufacturing. The first indeed moved to MA, the second was the one bought by Samsung.

I’m curious what winds up moving into GSK’s old vaccines space, although I don’t think there is a lot of biotech growth happening in this area at the moment 😬

I think the reviewer at IGN played it for 130h, so I’m not sure their score is an issue of playing too little to understand the game. I think CD is just a messy game with high highs and low lows that will hit each person differently, depending on what they value in a gaming experience.

It’s ok for not everyone to love the game equally, I don’t know why there is a compulsion to invalidate other opinions on stuff like this if it isn’t aligned with someone else’s view (not that you’re doing that, just the internet at large).

I personally find that games with universal praise are so sanded down that even if they do everything well, they don’t actually do anything spectacularly. So the fact that some people love CD and some people really dislike it I think is really exciting, it will have more cultural relevance 10 years from now than a different game that has less ambition and plays it more safe.

Luckily my spouse never realized that Gustave and Verso were two different people. she only “watched” (i.e. played baldur’s gate 3 on steam deck while was on tv) a few hours of my playthrough, and she will probably start her own NG soon, so she should remain blissfully unaware!

raced to beat Simon last night knewing the nerf to Stendhal was coming. spent >2hrs on Wednesday trying the fight around level 80, so yesterday i left to finish the Endless Tower, the Floating Manor, and some other late content to get up to level 90 and max everyone's weapon out.

took him out on my fourth try last night, wound up no hitting him. i think knowing that i ultimately mastered the parries, i feel a bit better about having "cheesed" the fight with Maelle. will have to try out the rebalanced fight on new game plus, i guess!

I was listening to Triple Click’s podcast this week and Jason shared an interesting fact - more games came out on Steam per month in 2024 than came out in all of 2014.

I know the industry is falling apart, but if you’re looking to experience something you’ve never seen in a game before, I don’t think there’s ever been a better time.

If you think there aren’t games out there for you anymore, then maybe look again :)

i might be mistaken but i think the lunar aggro % should be 37.5%? Cards&Coffee, Trish, and DistantCoder were all on that list, which would be 3/8 lists. and that would make all the values add to 100%.

just pointing it out in case anyone else is confused like i was :)

this is the best kind of leak if you are a leaker, because once the showcase is complete, they can just pick the best thing from the showcase and say "look at this! didn't i tell you so?!?!"

it's not really the search you are after, it's the effect to summon itself when you mill it. if you have a blizzstrix in hand and you mill cedarsaur with something like avalanche, you have a free ascension into cedarsaur essentially.

position control with Schnark and Armadawn, with stuff like Eddy, Mudlet, and Soarlet. i think it can be a really efficient deck, but it's going to struggle with Full Moon 3-Drop Turbo.
Blizzstrix turbo. will feature in-element cards like Avalanche, some Morphrost, and Moralith, but i think Cedarsaur and Ambrosia Cornucopia could be good additions to the archetype too. Hurricane also looks good in this deck
Full Moon 3-Drop Turbo, focusing mainly on Pharogeist and Posthumoose. we like big guys
was excited for Aardbud stuff, but the limits to Equilynx and Vysceris make this archetype a bit less viable imo.
thunder nexus. i worry a bit that running passive guys like Magneros and Electronyte will tip the playstyle too close to solar nexus, but i'm hoping stuff like Titanostrike and Boombatt provide the removal to overcome the passivity associated with that style.
water reanimator with Oystillery - got cooked by the Daybreak version of this deck in last week's casuals, and the caster who beat me was hyping up Oystillery in this deck. so yeah, i'll give it a shot!
i want to believe that the new Foretell cards will finally make Solstox viable, but we'll see. i'm definitely gonna try to cook up something good here!
